Only recently Apple CEO Tim Cook said that the company is going to enter “new product categories” in the near future, without elaborating exactly what these new categories are. This has lead to rumors and speculation, with the ever present iWatch and Apple HDTV once again setting the rumor mill on fire. However, a new report by the San Francisco Chronicle hints at a completely different product. The report claims that Apple is working with renowned audio engineer Tomlinson Holman to develop a device that’s capable of predicting heart attacks by listening to the sound of blood flowing through a user’s veins.
