Facebook might be the “platform” where some of the zanier things have happened in the past, such as a man losing $80,000 because of a Facebook update by his daughter, and the social network could also be a platform where illegal gun sales are planned. Having said that, the social network giant intends to crack down on such planned illegal gun sales in a move that will hopefully prevent criminal activity while setting a precedent that other social media sites ought to follow. Basically, Facebook will delete posts whenever there are users who seem to be headed down the slippery path of breaking the law, and this would include selling a gun without running a background check or to transport it across U.S. state lines.

For those of you who are rocking to the Windows Phone platform and cannot get enough of Facebook, here is some good news for you – Facebook Messenger for Windows Phone has finally arrived, where it will offer users the comfort of seeing Facebook’s familiar chat experience, albeit on a far smaller screen this time around compared to your desktop computer or notebook. Some of the features that will come with Facebook Messenger for Windows would include group conversations, photo sharing and stickers, of course.

Yahoo, Google, Facebook: these are some of the big names of the tech industry and not necessarily friends with one another. Yahoo and Google provide similar services that compete against one another, and Facebook’s own service is a competition of Google’s Google+ to a certain extent.
That being said, all three have somewhat managed to co-exist with one another peacefully, at least until a recent change that Yahoo will be making in which future access to Yahoo’s products/services will require you to sign in with a Yahoo account.
