Oppo R1 Drops By The FCC

Oppo R1 Drops By The FCCHmmm, no this is quite an interesting development – the Oppo R1, which so happens to be a handset that was released in December last year, had decide to pay the folks over at the FCC a visit. Apparently, this FCC-bound Oppo R1 handset comes equipped with LTE connectivity, in addition to support for T-Mobile’s network band. Selected areas in the US too, would see this version of the Oppo R1 play nice with AT&T’s signal, and considering how no US carriers are offering this handset at the moment, chances are pretty high that it might end up as an unlocked handset over in the US.

There is the HP Slate 8 Pro which was first mentioned last year, in addition to entry level Android-powered tablets rolling out just last month. Having said that, the HP Slate 8 Pro that retails for $310 thereabouts in the US and comes with an 8” 1600 x 1200 pixel display, an NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, 1GB RAM, and 16GB of internal memory might be getting a “sibling” soon, especially when an unannounced model known as the HP Slate 8 Pro 7650 has appeared on the FCC website.

Nothing’s been confirmed just yet, but we could very well have seen the Xperia Z2 Compact gain FCC approval, although the handset in question has been certified as the Sony SO-04F “Altair”, which will in all probability be a device made available via NTT DoCoMo of Japan if one were to take the model number as a reference.
