The LG G Pad 8.3 which has just arrived at the US slightly more than a week ago, might just have an LTE version that is headed for Europe. At least, that is what we see with Amazon Germany having set up a page that features an LTE-enabled model of the LG G Pad 8.3.
In this particular Amazon Germany listing, the LTE-capable model of the LG G Pad 8.3 has been listed for €346.50 a pop. Unfortunately, there is no estimated delivery date, and neither is there a release date to talk about. Heck, there is also no official image for us to drool over. So far, we do know that Amazon has uploaded this particular listing on September 30th, which happened to be a few weeks before this device actually made its way to the market.
Needless to say, in this day and age, it would be nice to have a LTE version of a particular device. Will this be the real deal, or is it some sort of wayward publicity stunt by Amazon? Hopefully it will be the former rather than the latter. Which particular device in the market right now would you like to see it arrive with LTE connectivity capability?

LG G Pad 8.3 Might Cost $299 Only
Posted in: Today's ChiliAt the IFA trade show in Berlin earlier this month, LG unveiled its new 8.3 inch G Pad tablet. It has a full HD IPS display which offers a 1,920×1,200 pixel resolution and is powered by a 1.7GHz quadcore Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. The tablet is expected to be released in major markets next month, but nothing has been said about pricing up till now. Rumors coming in from unofficial Chinese sources suggest that LG might price its new tablet as low as $299, which will give it a nice leg up on its competition.
LG itself hasn’t said anything about pricing, so this rumor should be taken with a grain of salt. Specific release dates aren’t available as yet, though LG is expected to launch the tablet in as many as 30 markets around the world by the end of this year. The rumored price tag will bring LG G Pad 8.3 closer to the new Nexus 7 in terms of pricing, Google’s 7 inch tablet has seen considerable success in the Android tablet market and was also recently refreshed with better hardware. LG G Pad 8.3 has a 16GB internal storage with the option for external expansion via microSD cards. It has a 5 megapixel shooter on the back and a 1.3 megapixel one up front. The tablet may be purchased in either black or white when it is ultimately released next month.

LG G Pad: Hands On Review
Posted in: Today's ChiliYesterday at IFA , LG unveiled its new 8-3 inch G Pad, a tablet that features a Full HD IPS display (1920×1200) powered by a 1.7GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 600. LG came up with the 8.3-inch form factor after collecting data from the government and conducting a study to determine what should be the maximum width for one handed operation. The LG G Pad runs Android Jelly bean 4.2.2 and is part of the G-series, LG’s top mobile product line which includes the recently launched G2 and its predecessor the LG Optimus G Pro. Featuring a sleek design with a nicely textured aluminum back cover, the WiFi–only LG G Pad offers a unique Q-Pair feature that allows users to pair it with their smartphone. Patrick Hong, LG G Pad product manager told me that the goal of Q-pair is to make the tablet and the phone smarter. Since people always carry a phone and a tablet, it is great to take advantage of both devices.

The world of Android powered tablets is certainly one that has many choices to pick from, with the gamut of manufacturers out there who are all set to fight for their slice of the pie. If you are an ardent fan of South Korean consumer electronics giant LG, then you would definitely be more than pleased to hear that they are all set to debut the LG G Pad 8.3 at IFA 2013 that is happening in Berlin, Germany, later this week. This is the latest addition to the G Series range of premium mobile devices, where the all-new LG G Pad 8.3 will boast of the distinction of being the first Full HD display that arrives on an 8-inch class tablet, offering a special user-experience and a wide range of connectivity features.
You might think that something with such a large display would offer a poor performance in terms of battery life, right? Wrong! Despite its relatively generous display size, the LG G Pad 8.3 will still manage to come in a slim and sleek profile which will not be awkward when you hold it in your hands, and this compact portability hails from LG’s ability to pick up their consumers’ wants and needs concerning a tablet’s size. Without sacrificing on its portability, the LG G Pad 8.3 will still manage to pack in a powerful 4,600mAh battery so that users get to enjoy long-lasting usage time without building up their biceps at a feather light 338 grams.
As for the rest of the hardware specifications of the LG G Pad 8.3, it will come equipped with a 1920 x 1200 WUXGA (Widescreen Ultra Extended Graphics Array) display which offers a picture quality that is even higher in resolution compared to a standard Full HD display. Not only that, it will be powered by a quad-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, boasting the unique QPair app that will allow every call and message received on a smartphone to appear on the G Pad as well, delivering a true convergence experience. You can then send simple replies via the LG G Pad 8.3 over QPair, making it a snap for the G Pad to hook up easily to other manufacturers’ smartphone and tablets (although Android 4.1 Jelly Bean or higher is recommended). Pricing details remain to be announced, but all should be revealed at IFA 2013 later this week.

LG G Pad Video Teaser Spotted
Posted in: Today's ChiliNormally, before a particular device actually hits the stage or is officially announced/unveiled, chances are there would have been plenty of leaks happening before that. In fact, the iPhone 5S would be a prime example of such a case study, and we have seen more than our fair share of iPhone 5S leaks and alleged photos, so much so that it runs the risk of iPhone 5S fatigue even before the handset is officially announced, champagne or otherwise. The LG G Pad is an upcoming tablet that, while it will not carry that kind of clout which Apple’s upcoming smartphone does, it is still worth looking out for, especially when you are into Android-powered tablets and want a performer that does not arrive wanting.
The clock has begun ticking, with less than 10 days to go until IFA 2013 happens, which also happens to be the widely speculated showcase that will see the LG G Pad announced to the world for the first time. Perhaps in a move to whet our appetites, LG has rolled out a video teaser that you can watch above in an attempt to add to the hype. What do you think this 8.3” G Pad is going to be like when it finally arrives?

Yes, there have been rumors surrounding LG and some of the possible devices that they might be working on, including the fabled Nexus 5, but those are just rumors at the moment. Since there are already some rumors flying around the South Korean company, why not throw in two more into the mix – in the form of the LG G Pad? That is the latest whispers on the grapevine, where the LG G Pad is said to be an 8.3” tablet that will boast of a whopping 1,920 x 1,200 resolution display.
According to the sources that were provided by Techblog.gr, the rumored LG G Pad will also be powered by a quad-core processor and accompanied by 2GB RAM. Design-wise, it is tipped to be extremely slim and lightweight in nature, sporting an aluminum back alongside a thin bezel which ought to make it pocket-friendly – in terms of size, as pricing details are still up in the air considering the device itself has not been confirmed in the first place. Word also has it that the LG G Pad will feature an optional cellular network connection. Do you think that this could very well be whispers of an upcoming LG tablet, or is it just something to be dismissed with a large grain of salt?
