According to earlier reports, it was suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S5 could be launched earlier than expected in certain markets. However there is a chance that despite the potentially early launch, there could be some supply constraints with the Galaxy S5.
This is according to a report from Korean news outlet, ETNews, which has suggested that there could be some issues regarding the manufacturing of the lens optics for the Galaxy S5’s camera, which could potentially lead to some delays, or at the very least supply constraints for a while until Samsung manages to figure this out. Since last year it has been rumored multiple times that Samsung is working on a premium smartphone. Rumor has it that the company will fashion this smartphone out of metal instead of plastic. A month or so prior to the Galaxy S5′s official announcement it was rumored that perhaps a premium version of the 2014 flagship will be released. That hasn’t happened up till now, and if reports coming in from Korea are correct, it might not happen ever. Instead, what Samsung may end up doing, is launching its much rumored premium smartphone lineup.

Back in February when Samsung first made an announcement of their upcoming flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy S5, it was supposedly headed in the direction of nearly 150 countries as well as territories this coming April 11th. While retailers in several countries have already confirmed that particular date, it seems that there will be other countries that might just receive the flagship smartphone earlier than expected.

We know that Samsung is a fan of releasing multiple variants of its flagship handset. Back in 2013, we saw the Galaxy S4 released in different versions, like the Galaxy S4 Active, a water-resistant version of the phone; the Galaxy S4 mini which was a smaller and less powerful version of the handset; and the Galaxy S4 Zoom which was basically a Galaxy S4 with a dedicated camera attached to it.
Now the question is will Samsung be repeating that trend with the recently announced Galaxy S5? Well the answer might be a yes. In fact one of the rumored variants could very well be the Galaxy S5 Zoom, thanks to recently leaked specs which has hinted at the existence of the device. (more…)

It has only been a couple of weeks since the Samsung Galaxy S5 was officially announced. Though there’s quite a bit of wait involved in getting it in our hands. Samsung will release Galaxy S5 on April 11th and all major U.S. carriers are going to offer it. An internal T-Mobile memo has appeared online. It hints at the possibility that Magenta is going to offer both 16GB and 32GB flavors of the next generation Galaxy flagship.

Back in February during MWC 2014, Samsung took the wraps off their brand new Galaxy S5 handset which was unusual given that Samsung typically favors announcements at their own events. They also revealed a handful of new wearables such as the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo, and the Gear Fit.

Samsung has a pretty interesting strategy in which they tend to release a flagship phone which is then followed up by variants of it that could appeal to different users. We’ve seen it with the Samsung Galaxy S4 where variants such as the Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy S4 Zoom, and Galaxy S4 mini.
It seems like Samsung is interested in continuing that trend, thanks to a sighting on Zauba which has revealed a certain Samsung SM-G800F. It is unclear what the model is but some have taken it to mean that it could be the Galaxy S5 Neo, which is basically the Galaxy S5 but with less powerful specs. (more…)
