This parody comes from HootSuite. It is a fun take on the opening credits of Game of Thrones that makes it all about social media. It is very nicely done. Just like great houses of Westeros, social media giants rise and fall so the map is constantly changing.
In the game of social thrones you win or you lose users. There is no middle ground. You can be a Facebook or a Myspace. Or Friendster.

You don’t have to go to war against other houses to sit on the Iron Throne of Westeros. Try a more peaceful, less bloodsoaked approach. You can make any chair the Iron Throne with this handy portable version.
NOW TV and The Telegraph made this fake “throne of swords” that can be attached to any seat easily. It’s even got padded back and butt cushions, which is a definite improvement over the one on the TV show.
Unfortunately, they gave away the throne to one lucky person. Give the throne away? With no bloodshed? Ridiculous, but it actually happened. Sadly, we can’t buy one, but maybe you can make your own and be King in your office. Just don’t let it go to your head like Joffrey did.

Game of Thrones fans get out your wallets. ThinkGeek has a set of replica dragon eggs that you know you want to add to your collection. There are three egg replicas in the box. Each of the eggs isn’t a petrified dragon, rather they are made from resin.
The box is made from Cunninghamia wood and lined with black silk. The fittings on the box are made from brass. The replica eggs are official Game of Thrones licensed merchandise.
The outside lid of the box has the Targaryen sigil in red and white on the top. The box measures 9 3/4″(L) x 4 3/4″(W) x 3 3/4″(H) and each egg is 3″(H) and 2 1/4″ in diameter.

Now that I have your attention… Sure, we would all like to kill King Joffrey, but there is only one of him and so many of us. SKY TV in New Zealand has the solution. They have erected a statue of the despicable little brat in a square in Auckland and they’re giving you the chance to help destroy it.
Obviously this is all part of a promotion for Game of Thrones season four. All you have to do is send a tweet with the hashtag #bringdowntheking. As the statue gains attention in real life and online, a medieval winch will be attached to the statue, with a rope around Joffrey’s neck. With each use of the tag #bringdowntheking, the rope will pull tighter around Joffrey’s neck, eventually pulling him to the ground.

Even if you don’t watch the HBO TV series Game of Thrones, chances are you might have heard its opening song before. It has become rather iconic and has seen many covers made by musicians around the world. Its opening animation sequence is also pretty nifty too and it seems that one fan decided to take it upon himself to recreate it using Skyrim.
The result is a project that its creator, Brady Wold, calls “Thrones” and according to the video’s description, took him thousands of hours to create, which safe to say probably spanned the course of several months, if not a year (since we doubt he worked on it non-stop).
According to Wold, “This started off as an exercise to kill time one afternoon about two years ago, never intending it to be a finished product. I continued to work on it here and there throughout various freelance projects, internships, and other personal projects, until it eventually became a burden; my very own “white whale.””
So if you’re a fan of Skyrim or Game of Thrones, or maybe even both, then we would highly recommend you take a couple of minutes from your day to enjoy the recreation of the Game of Thrones opening sequence in the video above, so enjoy! So, how impressed are you?
