One very early listing on GameStop has revealed the release date for a game we didn’t know until now would certainly exist. This game is The Walking Dead: Game of … Continue reading
Are you a fan of The Walking Dead series, whether it is the comic, the TV mini series, or the game? Well, if you have a love for all things undead, then you might be pleased to hear that The Walking Dead: Game of the Year Edition has been spotted on a GameStop listing.
This particular listing points to a June 17 launch later this summer on the PlayStation platform by GameStop, and any other details remain scant where the product is concerned. However, using Sherlock Holmes’ art of deduction, one will be able to figure out that The Walking Dead PS4 will arrive with the entire first season, in addition to the bonus episode of 400 Days, at least according to the box art.
It remains to be seen whether this is an official title that will be hitting the PS4 as TellTale has yet to shed any additional light on the situation. Do bear in mind that TellTale did drop hints which would point us in the direction of The Walking Dead arriving on the PS4 and Xbox One previously, so who knows – an official announcement might just be in the pipeline in the days ahead. After all, we have already seen this game on the previous generation of consoles.

To dig or not to dig, that is the question. Apparently, that particular question has already been answered by the folks over at Microsoft’s Xbox Entertainment Studios, as they look set to commence the digging out of an old landfill that is located in Alamogordo, New Mexico, in order to try to locate the fabled millions of copies of “E.T” for the Atari 2600 that were allegedly buried there many years ago.
Of course, before that will happen, Microsoft has decided to make the situation a little less sombre, by throwing a free party in Alamogordo on Friday night as part of the celebrations – to commemorate both the dig as well as Atari’s game legacy in general.
This particular event will be held from 7pm to 9 pm at the GameStop location at 516 1st Street in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Those who show up will be able to take a stroll down memory lane, playing with classic Atari games while feeding themselves with free food and the classic gamer staple, soft drinks. Not only that, those who attend will also stand a chance to bring home an Xbox One, among others, at the end of the night.
This dig is going to be a historical one, since whatever that is going to be filmed would prove to be a central axis to the created documentary that explores the scenes behind the 1982 game which was based on the hit film, although the game itself bombed – big time.

It was back in 2011 that the folks at Naughty Dog released Uncharted 3 but since then we’re sure many are wondering what has become of the franchise and if we might see an Uncharted 4 in the near future. The good news is that the game is apparently alive and well, at least according to industry insider, Tidux, who recently tweeted that the game is expected to make an appearance at E3 2014.
According to Tidux, the game has apparently been in the works ever since the studio released Uncharted 3, meaning that the developers have been working on the title for the past 3 years. Now there is a legitimate reason behind gamers’ worry about the franchise, namely because there have been quite a few employees at Naughty Dog who left roughly around the same time.
This would seem to indicate that there could be some trouble in the studio which could lead to either a delay or possibly even cancellation of the game, but thankfully that does not appear to be the case.
Naughty Dog has yet to confirm this themselves but with E3 2014 taking place in a couple of month’s time, we guess we won’t have to wait too long to see if the rumors pan out. In the meantime who else is looking forward to a new Uncharted game?

We’re sure that there are some of you guys out there who remembers playing Fatal Frame. Just in case you’re not familiar with the title, it’s basically a horror game in which you walk around the game taking photos, and sometimes in those photos ghosts appear which can be admittedly pretty freaky.
That being said we haven’t really heard much about the franchise for quite a while now and the good news is that it is not dead! According to a recent report on Famitsu, it seems that Tecmo Koei and Nintendo are working on bringing a new Fatal Frame title onto the Nintendo Wii U console.
Unfortunately not much is known about the upcoming game such as its release, its features, and so on, but we guess it’s better than nothing, right? However given how ZombieU took great advantage of the Wii U’s Game Pad, we can only assume that the upcoming Fatal Frame title will do the same as well.
Heck if you thought it was scary before, we can only imagine that with the Game Pad acting as a secondary display, things are about to get freakier. In the meantime there is a live action movie based on the franchise that is expected to make its way into Japanese cinemas this year, but in the meantime who else is excited at the idea of a new game?

Fans of the Star Trek universe, heads up! Literally, of course, since here we are with something from the Oculus Rift that might make you get lost for hours on end as you explore the bridge of the USS Voyager from the Star Trek series. Just to recap, the Oculus Rift happens to be a virtual reality headset that is being developed at the moment, enabling gamers to be able to immerse themselves in their favorite games, being in the virtual world for an enhanced gameplay experience. I would suppose it is not too much different from what most modern day city folk do these days – walk and drive around while looking at their smartphones, communicating on tablet over the dining table without carrying out a real world conversation with those around.
The Oculus Rift would be able to up the ante even further, and the USS Voyager bridge program is the brainchild of a certain Thomas Kadlec. Kadlec shared, “I’m a huge Oculus Rift fan, Star Trek fan, and Unreal Engine 4 [software framework for the development of video games] fan.So I just figured I’d mix those all together!”
This particular USS Voyager bridge demo enables one to “walk around a fairly accurate recreation of the Voyager’s bridge … [staring] out into space as you whiz past distant stars.” It would be cool if there was a segment programmed within, as your ship gets attacked halfway and you would need to respond by issuing commands from the bridge itself.

It was in the middle of last year that we brought you word where China is considering to lift a 13-year old ban on the sales of game consoles, before the ban was lifted temporarily in that part of the world in January this year. Well, that temporary lift had to wait for rules and regulations to play catch up, where companies which want to sell such game consoles in the country will have to adhere to. It is nice to know then, that the gamut of rules have just been released, which officially signals the green light that game consoles can be sold freely in China at long last.
Of course, things are never all that straightforward in life, as we have not heard from any of the three major console manufacturers, namely Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft, reveal their future plans to tackle the China market. It is a potentially lucrative market to tap into, especially when we are talking about the world’s most populous country in addition to many cities there experiencing boom times unlike during any other era.
It seems that Nintendo’s stock price has been affected from this development, while Microsoft has entered into an Xbox-related joint venture with unannounced plans. Sony, for their part, has formed a new “China Strategy Department” that will hopefully eventually sell its products in that part of the world.

When you have a game that is called Monster Hunter, then you would definitely anticipate there to be plenty of blood shed as you start to drop monsters one by one, as though they were like flies, and you are the efficient fly swatter. Well, we are glad to say that Capcom’s latest Monster Hunter 4G trailer sheds off all pretense, where this trailer depicts plenty of monster killing that will hopefully satiate your appetite to purchase the game when it finally arrives.
Do bear in mind that this particular trailer is technically meant for the Japanese release, and the entire gamut of footage consists of loud music and roaring, and I suppose Godzilla’s roar does not need to be in Japanese or English – it should be able to transcend all language barriers.
In the latest trailer, it depicts a desert environment that comes complete with plenty of sand and an oasis that pops up once in a while. Other than ancient ruins and caves that bake in the oppressive desert heat, you will have to be on the lookout for monsters who are licking their chops, hoping to get a piece of you. Monster Hunter 4G is actually a remastered version of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate that rolled out in fall last year for the Nintendo 3DS.
