Immersion Gaming Headset Could Prevent Gamer Rage

Immersion Gaming Headset Could Prevent Gamer RageI am quite sure that we have all heard of cases of road rage before, which is pretty understandable especially when you have had a particularly difficult day at the office, and would like to arrive home in the shortest time possible, but have somehow ended up in an unusual traffic gridlock. Well, gaming has its fair share of rage moments too, especially when you thought you had your opponent in the crosshair, only to miss when you press the fire button. Those who have spent countless hours in a cybercafe or LAN shop would most probably have had their fair share of curses as well as slamming the mouse against the table or banging the keyboard out of frustration. Is there a way to control one’s rage when gaming? The Immersion gaming headset intends to do so.

    Glyph the Virtual Retinal Display

glyphIt has taken years of development, research and hard work before Avegant arrives at the crossroads where it is today. Having said that, Avegant is more than proud to unveil their beta consumer concept of the Virtual Retinal Display which is given the name Glyph. No, this will not be the latest accessory for your next generation game console that is sitting underneath the Christmas tree, nicely wrapped and all, but rather, the Glyph headset happens to come with a brilliant, vivid video display and premium audio experience, sporting a special flip-down form factor along the way.

If you happen to be headed to CES 2014 in Las Vegas that is happening in a couple of weeks’ time, then you should be able to check out various prototypes of the Glyph Beta that are currently being assembled and tested. Those who want to pick up the Glyph Virtual Retinal Display for yourselves will be able to do so when the Kickstarter campaign begins this coming January 22, 2014 for $499 a pop with shipping all set to commence later next year.

At the heart of Glyph’s innovative nature would be its optical engine that is known as the Virtual Retinal Display. It will rely on a low powered LED, where it boasts of a series of custom optics as well as a micromirror array. The visuals that are subsequently produced by the headset happen to be more crisp and bright compared to those from conventional display technologies. This would mean that your eyes would be treated to the ideal environment when it comes to media consumption, including 3D movies, desktop environments and streamed TV shows. The integrated head tracking capability also paves the way for immersive, responsive gaming which is compatible with all of the latest consoles and games. Bear in mind that the Kickstarter campaign would come with its fair share of ancillary incentives, so you might want to check it out for yourself next year.

    Sennheiser introduces PRESENCE mobile headset

    presence
Sennheiser, a name that has been well known when it comes to audio solutions for mobile devices, is back with yet another premium headset solution that they call the PRESENCE. PRESENCE is a premium quality mobile headset, where it offers up a solution for consumers and business professionals who will not do with anything less other than outstanding sound quality and HD voice clarity, regardless of whether they are around the office, in the car or outdoors. PRESENCE will pack the latest Bluetooth 4.0 technology, where it will also be accompanied by Sennheiser’s new SpeakFocus and WindSafe technologies.

The PRESENCE mobile headset is said to be able to ensure sonic clarity and outstanding audio quality regardless of the environment that you are in, all the while arriving in a slim and aesthetically attractive design which is a snap to operate. You will find it arrive equipped with Sennheiser HD voice clarity, which would enable a superior listening experience. All PRESENCE headsets will also be equipped with a trio of digital microphones apart from the new SpeakFocus technology, as it is capable of detecting the user’s voice as it filters out background noise. This would enable users to make phone calls even if they are in the midst of a noisy environment, while listeners will be treated to a professional, crystal clear sound experience.

Talking on a ferry, or when you are driving with your window drawn down? Fret not, Sennheiser’s WindSafe technology would also be able to do its bit to reduce wind noise effectively, hence doing away with what can be ranked as one of the biggest annoyances for the listener over at the other end of the line. This is made possible as the PRESENCE will automatically select the best mix of the three microphones, followed by processing the sound so that it can determine the optimal way to balance and enhance the voice of the user. This would help safeguard users against hazardous noises which can also end up as dangerous to hearing, thanks to the headset’s uniquely patented ActiveGard hearing protection system.

Expect to fork out $179.95 for the Sennheiser PRESENCE if you are interested.
