Octa-Core HTC Handset Leaked, Carries Bright Colors

octa-core-htc-leakIt does seem that as a particular smartphone or tablet gets closer and closer to its release date, it is going to start making headlines all over the news in terms of leaks. The same also applies to this particular HTC handset, which remains unannounced, and yet we more or less have an inkling that it will be powered by an octa-core chipset. Apparently, this particular device from HTC happens to be a mid-range smartphone in the mould of the Desire series, and it ought to be based upon the most recent MediaTek platform that will carry a true octa-core Cortex-A7 processor underneath the hood. Don’t you think that the shade of red that you see on the right is somewhat similar to the red Nexus 5 image which was leaked earlier today? Also, some others might think that this is somewhat reminiscent of the plastic oriented iPhone 5c, too.

    HTC M8x Approved By Postel

HTC M8x Approved By PostelWhenever a particular device is well on its way to hit the market, you can be more or less sure that there will be additional leaks that make an appearance, and at more frequent intervals, too. With the HTC M8, we have seen alleged cases for the upcoming flagship smartphone appear, not to mention the UA Prof file being revealed, too. Having said that, there seems to be yet another variant of the upcoming HTC M8, where it is known as the HTC M8x, and was given the nod of approval recently by Postel. This is not the first time that Postel, an Indonesian authority which certifies telecommunications and radio equipment in that part of the world, has shared something about a smartphone variant, so it could point to the very real possibility of this soon-to-be flagship device to boast of two versions.

    New HTC M8 Cases Leaked

New HTC M8 Cases LeakedThe other day we reported on a leaked HTC M8 case which seemed to hint that the handset would be arriving with a fingerprint scanner, and now thanks to leaker Sonny Dickson, he has managed to get his hands on what appears to be multiple HTC M8 cases which seems to hint at the handset’s design, at least from the back. For those unfamiliar, Sonny Dickson is the leaker who leaked multiple images of the iPhone 5c ahead of its release, so safe to say he has managed to gain a fair amount of credibility, but do take it with a grain of salt for now. Sonny Dickson claims that these cases are authentic, so hopefully HTC does not pull a fast one on us at the last minute!

As it stands the HTC M8 has been rumored to sport a 2.3GHz processor, a 5” Full HD 1080p display, 2GB of RAM, an upgraded rear-facing camera with twin sensors, and a fingerprint scanner. We’re not sure why HTC has decided to keep a Full HD display rather than opting for a 2K display which seems to be the trend these days, but hopefully the features and performance of the HTC M8 will prove to be good enough for users to overlook its display resolution. The rumors also claim that handset could arrive in March, so hopefully we will learn more at MWC 2014, so be sure to check back with us then for the details.

HTC M8 UA Prof FIle Published

HTC M8 UA Prof FIle PublishedIt looks like HTC has already published the UA Prof file for the HTC M8, which is better known as the next version of the HTC One as it takes over the position of being a flagship device for the beleaguered smartphone company. The HTC M8’s UA Prof file points to a 1080 x 1920 pixel display on the device, which means it will be able to handle Full HD video playback the way it is meant to be without any issues.
