HTC M8 Ace Leaked
Posted in: Today's ChiliMuch has been said and done about the HTC One M8 ever since it was released, and apart from that, it seems that we also have rumors concerning the HTC One M8 mini going around. Well, apparently there is yet another HTC One M8 variant, where serial leakster @evleaks has referred to this particular device as the “HTC M8 Ace”.
Unfortunately for us and the rest of the world, the HTC M8 Ace that @evleaks showed is nothing much to look at – other than the fact that the overall design does not seem to veer too far away from the HTC One M8, sporting its now signature rounded corners as well as an HTC logo located right below its display. The display’s image has been blurred out, but some enterprising sleuths decided to make some guesses concerning it, with the possibility of it being a green Sense 6 screenshot that is not too different from the one found in the HTC One M8 press images.
Does the HTC M8 Ace arrive in a shade of red? Perhaps, which makes it all the more interesting, since the HTC One M8 is currently available in gray, silver and gold colors. What do you make of it all?

So the HTC One M8 was announced and released not too long ago, which is why we find it surprising that a new and unknown HTC device has recently been spotted on the benchmarks. Of course we expect that HTC has a ton of new devices in the works, but this particular model appears to pack some pretty impressive specs, which has us wondering if HTC has another high-end model they are working on.
According to the AnTuTu benchmark sighting, this particular HTC goes by the model number 0PAJ3 which doesn’t really clue us in as to what kind of device it is. The benchmarks also reveals that the device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, a 1920×1080 display, and two cameras: a 5MP and a 13MP.
If we had to guess, we’d say that the 13MP camera will be on the back while the 5MP will be on the front, although this is interesting given HTC’s UltraPixel camera technology which they used on their flagship devices. Some speculate that this could be a tablet especially in the face of the rumors that the next Nexus tablet could be built by HTC.
However with both the current-gen Nexus 7 and the Nexus 10 sporting a higher resolution than 1920×1080, we doubt that Google will be taking a step backwards by opting for Full HD. This opens it up to the possibility that the device spotted on the benchmarks could be the next-gen HTC Butterfly.
In any case we’ll be keeping our eyes and ears peeled for more information regarding this HTC 0PAJ3 model, but in the meantime what do you guys make of its specs? Would you rather get your hands on this device or would you prefer the HTC One M8 instead?

The HTC One M8 Developer Edition was made available on March 25th last month, and it seems that the adage of the early bird getting the worm holds true here to a certain extent – price wise, at least. The HTC One M8 Developer Edition will be more expensive from tomorrow onward according to this tweet, retailing for $50 more than when it was first introduced, which means that the final sticker price for the HTC One M8 Developer Edition would be at $699.99 a pop.

It does seem as though the folks over at HTC are looking at a ‘x16’ naming convention for some of their smartphones under the Desire range. For instance, we have heard about how many pre-orders that the HTC Desire 816 had already received in China, not to mention having an image of the octa-core HTC Desire 616 revealed, and now here we are with the mid-range HTC Desire 316 which had already appeared on the HTC China website.
