Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Could Feature 2.5GB Of RAM, Not 3GB

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Could Feature 2.5GB Of RAM, Not 3GBSo far we know that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3 device is expected to arrive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset, sport a 5.7” Full HD display, a 13MP camera possibly with 4K video capture, and 3GB of RAM. So far none of this has been officially confirmed, although it looks like the rumors of 3GB of RAM could turn out to be wrong after all. This is according to @evleaks who tweeted the “confirmed’ specifications of the device, and according to his post, the Galaxy Note 3 will arrive with 2.5GB of RAM instead.

This isn’t that big of a deal since we doubt for the most part, not all of us will fully utilize all 2.5GB of RAM, but we guess it’s still a nice hardware specification that Samsung could lord over the competition. Many had initially expected LG to offer up 3GB of RAM with the LG G2, but the handset only arrived with 2GB, so we guess Samsung, while not hitting the 3GB RAM mark, still managed to beat them with an additional 500MB. Other specs that have been “confirmed” include the 2.3GHz quad-core chipset and Full HD 1920×1080 display.

Take it with a grain of salt for now, but @evleaks has been pretty reliable in the past so that’s something to take into consideration, but check back with us on the 4th of September anyway for the official details.

Leaked Galaxy Gear Images Reportedly Don’t Hint At Final Design

Leaked Galaxy Gear Images Reportedly Dont Hint At Final Design

On Sunday a cache of images of the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch were leaked. People weren’t impressed, some even called it downright ugly. The report accompanying those images said that it was a unit that Samsung had sent out to select developers and partners. While it was said that the unit is a prototype, the report claimed it was quite similar to the final version that Samsung unveils on September 4th. People in the loop claim that Samsung has a different and more “finished” unit that it will unveil at the event, if you weren’t impressed by what you saw on Sunday, you might want to give Samsung’s smartwatch another chance, if this report turns out to be true.

It is also said that the Galaxy Gear does not have a built in web browser. Android 4.3 is said to be on-board with the keyboard features disabled. It is expected to have Bluetooth LE, which means that Galaxy Gear will be able to work with smartphones that support Bluetooth LE. Apparently the smartwatch can be used to make phone calls as well. It was said on Sunday that the smartwatch will have Wi-Fi as well, the latest report suggests that it will have to be tethered to a phone to access the internet. Samsung has already confirmed that it will unveil Galaxy Gear on September 4th, so even if these rumors don’t paint a complete picture of the device, find solace in the fact that the official announcement is merely a couple of days away.

LG Gallery 55EA8800 55-inch OLED TV looks like a framed picture

LG has unveiled one of the most interesting looking TVs I’ve seen a long time at IFA 2013. The TV is a 55-inch OLED set called the Gallery OLED TV 55EA8800. This TV certainly isn’t the first OLED set we’ve seen from LG, but it is the first to have the cool picture frame design. […]
