While the two devices may look rather similar, that’s where the differences begin between the Lenovo S5000 and its already-on-the-market rival Nexus 7 (made by ASUS). You’ll want to have a peek at SlashGear’s Nexus 7 (2013) review to see the full run-down on what it means to work with this Google-sold tablet, but for […]
Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro
Posted in: Today's ChiliThe Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro builds on the legacy of the original Yoga laptop, but adds high-end elements that turn it into a thin & light powerhouse. Thanks to its 360 degrees hinge, Yoga 2 Pro keeps the same multi-mode idea by allowing four modes: tent, stand, tablet and laptop. The other remarkable design element is that it is 0.61” thin.
When you open it, you may notice that the display is particularly sharp at 3200×1800 pixels (QHD+ resolution). It is also multi-touch and features a 350 nit brightness, which helps a lot when using it outdoors on a sunny day. In dim lighting situations, the backlit keyboard will fire up to help you type with accuracy. Once you get used to having a backlit keyboard, there is no turning back.

Lenovo might be big on Ultrabooks, notebooks and desktops, but one particular segment of the market that they are clearly looking into would be the world of smartphones.
In fact, the Lenovo Vibe X has just been officially announced, making it the most recent member of Lenovo’s premium smartphone portfolio, where it will boast of twin camera technology as well as an “amazingly brilliant display”, all crammed into a sleek form factor. The body of the Lenovo Vibe X smartphone would arrive encased in style with a premium polycarbonate body alongside an advanced mold, laser-engraved 3D tactile finish.
Measuring a mere 6.9mm thin, it would tip the scales at a mere 121 grams, and if need to get a handle on how heavy (or light) that would be, we are talking about just five AA batteries thereabouts. It also comes with a 5” Full HD resolution IPS panel at 440ppi pixel density, where it remains under a scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen that is beveled at the edges.
Apart from that, there is also a 5-megapixel front-facing camera to accompany the 13-megapixel auto-focus rear-facing camera, accompanied by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean as the operating system of choice, a quad-core 1.5GHz MTK 6589T processor, 2GB RAM, and 16GB of internal memory. It remains to be seen just how much it will cost when it is released.

Lenovo Flex 20 All-In-One PC
Posted in: Today's ChiliLenovo is coming up with a new all-in-one PC called Flex 20. At first glance, it looks like a smaller version of the IdeaCentre Horizon 27, but the Flex 20 design is much thinner and lighter, even if you take the size difference into account. The Flex 20 can be used as a regular home computer, but its internal battery allows it to be moved around, untethered to a power outlet for about three hours.

Lenovo Flex 14-inch & 15-inch
Posted in: Today's ChiliLenovo is extending its line of laptop that are capable of “flexing”, which means that it can open at an angle of 300 degrees to feature a view mode that uses the keyboard as a stand for the display. This can be great for presentations or touch-only modes where you need to have the full attention of a colleague or a customer. (more…)

Sony may not be sure it can build its superlative-spawning OLED TV but its first – in fact the world’s first – curved LED LCD TV has already gone up for pre-order, and so we stopped by to check the KDL-65S990A out at IFA. A living room dominating 65-inches, the Full HD set lacks Ultra […]
This week the folks at Lenovo have introduced the Vibe X smartphone, a next-generation solution that takes what they introduced with last year’s K900 and gives it a full 2013 makeover. This device works with top-tier specifications like a 5-inch “20/20 Vision” IPS LCD display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution – that’s Full HD […]
With the expansion of the abilities available to manufacturers with the release of Windows 8.1 and the 4th generation Intel Core (Haswell) family of processors, Lenovo this week aims to show its dominance in the “Multimode” world of notebook computing with the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro. This device takes what was presented in the original […]
We heard about that 65-inch, award-winning Philips 4K set a while back, and earlier today, we finally got to see the thing trotted out on stage in all of its ultra high-def glory. Turns out it’s also got a bigger sibling, an 84-incher. We managed to get up close and personal with both of the sets on the floor, sitting side by side in Philips’ booth. The bezels on the 9000s are reasonably thin, though not nearly as svelte as we’ve seen on the sort of sets that Samsung and Sony like to trot out. Same goes for the profile — if you’re really interested in the thinnest 4K sets on the market, you’re going to want to look elsewhere — not shocking, of course, as the company is positioning these as budget sets. Ultra high-definition for the people.
The sets are available today in the UK and Russia, priced at €4,999 ($6,588)and and €14,999 ($19,768), respectively. You can get a bit of a closer look at them in the gallery below.%Gallery-slideshow79655%

Sony: Our 56-inch 4k OLED TV is biggest & brightest (we just can’t make it)
Posted in: Today's ChiliSony is showing off a new prototype 4k Ultra HD OLED TV at IFA 2013, and the company isn’t short on hyperbole about the new set. The 56-inch panel is both brighter and more colorful than either of the OLED TVs on sale from Samsung and LG, Sony told us, as well as being bigger, […]
