You probably know your phone can pinpoint your location for GPS, local search, or the weather. Hopefully, you also know that means your phone keeps track of everywhere you go, all the time. Don’t be alarmed—it’s the trade you make for the features you get. If it makes you uncomfortable, here’s how to opt-out.

We did talk about the MyGlass app in September earlier this year, where this particular app would be able to offer Google Glass owners control with an Android-powered device. Well, that sounds about right, but what happens if you have a pair of Google Glass, and yet are not rocking to any Android-powered smartphone, preferring Apple’s offering in the smartphone arena instead as your daily communications device? Good thing the official MyGlass app for Google Glass has finally made its way to the iOS platform, where it will carry just about the same level of functionality as the Android version of the app, including letting you set up your Google Glass eyewear, install Glassware apps, have a mirror of the Glass’s display on the paired iPhone’s screen, among others.
The MyGlass app will be a free download to those who are interested, and of course, it is pretty much useless if you do not have a pair of Google Glass to hook it up to. The thing is, it took less than an hour after the MyGlass app appeared on the App Store before it was yanked – no idea on whether this was due to a premature rollout, a bug discovery, or something more sinister behind the scenes.

Replay is a new application that allows iPhone owners to create automatically compelling videos using the photos and the video clips stored in the gallery.
When Jeff Boudier, co-founder, Stupeflix, the company behind Replay, showed me a demo a month ago, I was amazed by the results and the speed of the application: within seconds, I could watch a short video of his vacations with a vintage filter and a soundtrack, made from a few clips and photos selected from his iPhone gallery. You can watch the demo in the video above.
Leveraging its technology that provides video capabilities for developers, Stupeflix and its team of imaging engineers, led by Nicolas Steegmann – Stupeflix CEO and cofounder, took advantage of the Apple A7 processor and its GPU computing capabilities to deliver Replay.
According to the company, on the iPhone 5s, it takes only one tenth of a second for Replay to process 50 photos and videos, perfectly edited and featuring a soundtrack. Although I did not measure the exact timing in our demo, I can tell that everything was done amazingly fast.
Basically, all your photos and videos are instantly edited into a movie leveraging the iPhone GPU, including music sync, video stabilized and trimmed to the best parts. Additionally, filters can be applied on the photos and videos, focus is made on detected faces, you have a choice of animated scenes and transitions and text effects.

At a loss for gift ideas? Amazon is selling its $69 Kindle for the stocking stuffer-approved price of $49 today. This isn’t the Paperwhite, so you don’t get a touchscreen, but I’ve actually found the buttons to be a much better solution for page turning.
Today Google has successfully pushed the MyGlass app for Google Glass to the iTunes App Store. Tomb Raider For iOS
Posted in: Today's ChiliWhen Lara Croft first hit the scene, I am quite sure that many people were looking at more than just her curves, especially for those whose hormones have just begun to rage. Of course, back then, she came with extremely bare graphics compared to what we have today, high definition graphics and all. Well, going retro is nice, and some times, we wish that we could actually turn back the clock. Square Enix offers you a way to go back the passage of time by rolling out the original 1996 version of Tomb Raider, in all of its old school graphics glory, over on the iOS App Store. The thing is, this particular title would retail for all of a dollar, which is a good thing since to pay anything more than that for a near 20 year old game might be considered as a travesty to some.
As for the difficulty level, it remains to be seen whether your muscles will still be able to remember just how to go through the various dungeons and solve the different puzzles after all this time. The lack of a physical controller would also mean it is a whole new ballgame now compared to last time. [iTunes Link]
Tomb Raider For iOS original content from Ubergizmo.
It was back in 1996 that the first Tomb Raider game was launched, and we’re sure that many gamers, especially the old school ones, have plenty of fond memories of the game. Well the good news is that if you were looking forward to reliving some memories from back in the day, you’re in luck as the original Tomb Raider game appears to have made its way onto the New Zealand iTunes App Store, suggesting that it should not be too long until the rest of the world is able to get their hands on the game as well.
Oddly enough despite it making its way onto the iTunes App Store, we have not heard any announcement from Square Enix regarding its launch, which is surprising given that the game is considered to be one of the classics back in the day, which helped to spawn a series of movies starring Angelina Jolie, and also prompted a reboot of the game. The game is priced at $0.99 and will require gamers to have at least iOS 7 installed on their iOS devices in order to enjoy it. For those who have an iTunes New Zealand account, you can head on over to the iTunes App Store for the download.
