i-Flashdrive Lets You Transfer Files Between iOS And Android Devices

i Flashdrive Lets You Transfer Files Between iOS And Android DevicesEarlier this year we reported on an interesting little gadget called the i-Flashdrive which basically allowed iPhone users to transfer data from their iPhone to the accessory, which can then be transferred to a computer. This was incredibly handy for those who needed a way to transfer files but might not have their Apple cable with them. Now it seems that the folks behind i-Flashdrive are back except this time instead of transferring data from an iPhone to a flash drive, it will allow for the transfer of files between iOS and Android devices!

Basically what PhotoFast did was swap out the USB for a micro USB, allowing it to attach to basically any Android device, but unfortunately it still sports the 30-pin dock connector, meaning that iOS users would need an adapter if they are using newer iOS devices that have the Lightning port. The device will then use an app available for iOS and Android to then transfer files, such as photos and videos, between either device. Unfortunately much like the original i-Flashdrive, the newer model is just as expensive and will cost $170 for the 16GB version, $230 for the 32GB version, and a whopping $330 for the 64GB version. Ouch.

Google Drive On iOS Allows File Sorting Now

Google Drive On iOS Allows File Sorting Now It has been quite a day for iOS users, as we have learned that the Amazon Cloud Drive photos app on the iOS platform has received native iPad as well as video upload support, which is a good thing, really. After all, as an end user of any product, would you turn down the wonders of additional features especially when you do not need to fork out a single cent more for them? The folks over at Google, too, have a little something for iOS users, as they have added a new function on Google Drive for iOS, allowing users who use the app on a compatible iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad will be able to sort the various items within the Google Drive application.

This feature is definitely far from groundbreaking, but it is useful in its own right, making it a snap to keep track of all your recently modified folders as well as files. Apart from that, you can also expect the customary bunch of changes and improvements made to the backend to accompany this particular update. All in all, it should be a whole lot more stable as well as smoother to work with. Have you noticed any improvements on your side after installation? [iTunes Link]

Amazon Cloud Drive Photos iOS App Gets Native iPad And Video Upload Support

Amazon Cloud Drive Photos iOS App Gets Native iPad And Video Upload Support

Amazon Cloud Drive Photos app is one of the most widely used apps out there for backing up photos to the company’s cloud servers. Today, an updated version of the app for iOS has been released. The new Cloud Drive Photos iOS app brings native support for iPads as well as support for video uploading. Amazon initially launched this feature on Android over a year and a half ago, iOS users have certainly been waiting for a long time to be allowed to upload their videos to Amazon’s Cloud Drive Photos service.

Native support for the iPad means that both the full-fledged tablet and the iPad mini are now natively compatible with the app, users won’t have to run it in 2x magnified mode. Videos of up to 20 minutes in length can be uploaded, file size is limited to 2GB. While that might not seem much if you are looking to store professional videos in the cloud, the time and size limit is enough to accommodate most personal videos. The app also has an auto-upload feature, which when turned on, will upload the existing content in camera roll to the cloud. The company offers 5GB of free cloud storage to new users, the app itself is available as a free download from the App Store.

Farm Heroes Saga Arriving On iOS And Android Early Next Year

Farm Heroes Saga Arriving On iOS And Android Early Next YearAre there versions of a Facebook game that has made its way over to the mobile device platform with huge success? Sure, and this particular phenomenon is not limited to just one way traffic, as there are other titles that have made it big on the mobile platform before being ported over to Facebook, although it seems to be the other way around more often than not. Farm Heroes Saga, an extremely popular Facebook game from King, the folks behind Candy Crush, is all set to hit both the iOS and Android platforms from early 2014 onward.

This is a free-to-play game that will definitely get the attention of folks who cannot wait to be farmers, where one will have to put a stop to Rancid the Raccoon’s evil attempts in desecrating the farm’s peaceful and carefully balance ecology. There will be 100 levels to challenge interested gamers, where one will have to switch and match different ‘Cropsie’ characters in rows of three or more. The mobile version of the game will also come with Facebook synchronization, letting you continue from wherever you have stopped playing without missing a beat. Will it be as successful as Candy Crush? We do not think so, but it might just be a successful game by its own right.

Let Your Favorite Tunes Wake You Up With Pandora For iOS

Let Your Favorite Tunes Wake You Up With Pandora For iOSWaking up can be quite a difficult task at hand, especially when you consider how the weather outside seems to be so fine for sleeping in. Many of us use the alarm clock function on our smartphones to help us get out of bed, and without a Snooze function in the alarm clock, life could get pretty tough. Instead of listening to the usual ring or din, how about letting you greet the day with your favorite tunes? The latest update to the Pandora for iOS app would enable you to do so, where after downloading this update from iTunes, you can make use of the built-in alarm clock.

Need additional minutes to lie in bed? Fret not, the snooze bar is there to save the day. Apart from that, there is also a new sleep timer which would allow you to listen to music for a pre-set amount of time prior to the app being turned off. Since some of you do make use of the Pandora app before falling asleep, why not make use of the very same app to wake up? This particular app has been updated visually to match what you see in the iOS 7 environment, too, for a more seamless user experience. [iTunes Link]
