Next-Gen iPad Air Spotted In Leaked Photos (Rumor)

ipadair-sampleIt does seem as though Apple’s iPad Air is due for a hardware revamp, and new photos have hit the Internet, depicting the purported next generation iPad Air that will sport a bonded display. Now, do bear in mind that this happens to be a rumor since nothing has been confirmed yet, but it might very well be the real deal. If it were to be an actual device, that it is an even thinner version of Apple’s flagship tablet that ought to send pulses racing. This alleged revised iPad Air display assembly with the LCD and cover glass were manufactured as a solitary unit, which is not too far away from what Apple has done where the iPhone is concerned for the past few years.

The assembly that was depicted in the images do seem to be identical to the existing iPad Air models when seen from the front. Turn it over to the back, and one would be able to see a new connector configuration. Not only that, the LCD also does seem to have been bonded straight to the cover glass, which is a feature that was first introduced with the iPhone 4.

When one chemically bonds the cover glass to the LCD, it would end in a thinner overall assembly, not to mention enhanced viewing angles which will be more than welcome in a potential iPad Air model.

Refurbished Retina iPad Mini Now Available Online

Refurbished Retina iPad Mini Now Available Online

Folks who had been waiting for refurbished Retina iPad mini to be available from the Apple online store can now rejoice. The company has started selling refurbished models of its latest iPad mini. It only sells them through the online store so walking into your nearest Apple Store isn’t going to be necessary. It has taken Apple nearly six months to offer refurbished Retina iPad mini models after the tablet was first released late last year.

The refurbished models are great for customers who want to have a tablet that is as good as new without having to shell out the full retail price. Since Apple provides a one year warranty with these models, just like it does with their new counterparts, customers are covered should something unfortunate happen.

As of now the Wi-Fi only Retina iPad mini models are available through the Apple online store in 16, 32 and 64GB flavors. Cellular models might be added sometime in the future. A refurbished 16GB model costs $339. Its a decent 15 percent saving as the same tablet costs $399 at full retail.

The Retina iPad mini is perfect for customers that want the iPad experience without having to carry a big 10-inch tablet around. It has a 7.9-inch Retina display, Apple’s very own A7 processor with M7 motion coprocessor as well as 802.11n Wi-Fi with MIMO technology. Apple already offers refurbished models of the iPad Air.

Now that there’s a version of the Microsoft Office suite available for the iPad, it’s a decent time to make sure your tablet’s case looks like it means business. From the makers of the much-loved Cord Tacos, This Is Ground’s Cargito iPad cases combine simple design with hidden treats. They’re loaded with mobile charging options and compartments for sidecar necessities.

The Cargito Air Charging iPad Case comes with a 7000 mAh battery in a zip-up compartment and an integrated Lightning cable that lets you give your iPad a full recharge in transit while it’s tucked inside the full-leather sleeve. There’s also a smaller and cheaper version — the Cargito Mini Charging iPad Case — made for the iPad Mini.

Both sizes include a strap that’s fitted to hold a Pencil stylus, a compartment for your business and/or credit cards, and a zip-up pocket. In the charger-equipped versions of each case, the rechargeable battery goes in that zip pocket; there are also non-charging versions of each sized case that free up that zip compartment for spare change, hard candy, or a pocketable amount of what-have-you.

These high-end cases come with some high-end price tags. The Cargito Air Charging case costs $165, and the Cargito Mini Charging case goes for $155. If you want to supply your own battery pack, you can save a little bit: $109 for the larger non-charging version, and $99 for the non-charging Mini version.

Color options abound. Each case size comes in eight colors, including various shades of brown, black, white, and gold.

New York Times’ iPad Air Ad Juxtaposed Against MH370 News, Causes Embarrassment

New York Times’ iPad Air Ad Juxtaposed Against MH370 News, Causes EmbarrassmentThe Malaysia Prime Minister Najib Razak had announced that Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 can be assumed beyond all reasonable doubt that it crash landed in the Indian Ocean, with no survivors from the 239 people who were on board the ill fated flight. Having said that, The New York Times’ online readers were surprised to see an unfortunate juxtaposition when an Apple iPad Air ad was placed right beside an article concerning MH370, with the underwater scuba diver in the ad located right above the headline, “Malaysia Says Jet Went Down in Ocean.”
