If you’re keen enough to have noticed the new listings for iPads in Apple’s online store since right around 24 hours ago, you’ll have seen the complete axing of the 3rd and/or 4th generation iPad. This replacement was made by the iPad Air, which now sits in stores as one of two full-sized iPads, the […]

Apple held its long-awaited “a lot to cover” event yesterday where they announced a new MacBook Pro, iPad Mini and iPad Air. Not only can you expect your wallets to feel a little bit lighter this holiday season as a result of their announcements, but you can also expect accessory makers to begin announcing their products that support Apple’s newest devices. Belkin is one of those accessory makers and they sure do have a number of products coming soon for the iPad Air. (more…)

On Tuesday Apple announced the release of its fifth generation iPad mini, named the iPad Air as an offshoot naming of the Macboook line of products, confirming rumors of the anticipated release earlier in the month. The new iPad Air primarily features a new lighter, thinner design weighing in at just one pound and 7.5 mm thick (that’s less than a third of an inch to you metrically challenged folks).
Apple has also added in a faster A7, 64-bit chipset, where Apple states it doubles the processor speed with the same battery drain as its predecessor. They’ve also added dual WiFi antenna’s with MIMO, the high resolution (2048×1536) Retina display on a 9.7-inch screen and kept up to 10 hours of battery life.
Apple is releasing the iPad Air November 1st with prices starting at $499 for a 16GB WiFi model up to $929 for a 128GB Wi-Fi plus cellular model, all available in either silver or space gray.
Don’t you just love the free market and a capitalist mindset? Of course, there is no economic model that will be 100% foolproof, but it does seem that capitalism has a whole lot more advantages compared to disadvantages, and with the recently announced iPad Air as well as iPad mini with Retina display, pricing details have already begun to be announced by different carriers. We have already brought you what Sprint had to say about the situation, and it does seem that the folks over at T-Mobile do have an enticing carrot that hopes to entice the masses to sign up with them.
Just how attractive is T-Mobile’s offer? How about 200MB of free data each month if you end up as a new iPad owner? This would definitely undercut AT&T’s entry-level offering of $14.99 for the same amount of data each month, but it must be noted that AT&T does offer additional data for $30 a pop, with 3GB included. As for T-Mobile, they will throw in 2.5GB of data at a similar price point.
It would be interesting how far will customer loyalty go when it comes to getting the best bang for your hard earned buck. Out of all the mobile carriers, who would you stick with when it comes to the new iPads?

So now that the dust has settled from all of the announcements made by Apple concerning their new free software as well as a couple of new iPads, it is time for mobile service providers to step forward and start offering the new wares with their respective data plans, too. Sprint is one of them, having announced that it will offer the iPad Air with Wi-Fi and Cellular on Friday, November 1st. Apart from that, the smaller iPad mini with Retina display too will be on offer later in the month, featuring both Wi-Fi and Cellular models to boot. According to Sprint, the tablet plans will be as low as $5 a month.
It does not matter if you are taking the full-sized iPad Air or the smaller iPad mini with Retina display, as both of them will run on a 64-bit A7 processor. There will be no Touch ID fingerprint scanner that is found on the iPhone 5s, so I would go out on a limb here and say that this could be because they are reserving it for a new iPad refresh sometime next year. The Wi-Fi and Cellular variant of the iPad Air from Sprint will retail for $629 for 16GB, $729 for 32GB, $829 for 64GB, and $929 for 128GB.
Those who want the iPad mini with Retina display with Wi-Fi and Cellular will have to fork out $529, $629, $729 and $829 for the 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB models, respectively. [Press Release]
