You know how it’s supposed to work: As you type, your iPhone or iPad keyboard silently learns words in the background for future autocorrect suggestions. But sometimes that “learning” can backfire — especially if you inadvertently teach the system words and phrases you don’t really want autocorrected. Luckily, when your iOS keyboard gets a chronic case of letter-rot, there’s an easy way to undo all those bad habits.
If adding new shortcuts and contacts still hasn’t fixed your autocorrect woes, you likely need a fresh start. iOS 7 makes this easy.
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap the “Reset Keyboard Dictionary” option. If you have a password set, your device will prompt you to enter it and then warn you that it’s about to “delete all custom words you have typed on the keyboard.” Say good riddance, and hit “Reset Dictionary.”
Bingo. No more typos or embarrassing autocorrects when using keyboard — at least for the next few months.

In the past we’ve seen how some countries have expressed concern over using another country’s technology. Understandably there might be some fear about governments using local companies to create products for international markets that could allow them to spy on other nations, and in the wake of the Edward Snowden leaks, we guess some of those fears are have been realized.
Perhaps looking to reduce the risk of having national secrets leaked or intercepted, the Russian government has reportedly stopped using iPads in an official capacity. According to the report by Business Insider, the Russian government has instead turned to the use of Samsung tablets. (more…)

iOS 7 is the biggest iOS update that Apple has ever released. Not only does the update dramatically overhaul the design of the user interface, but it has also brought about a change in the way apps are designed. It has roughly been five months since Apple launched two new tablets, the iPad Air and the Retina iPad mini. Both tablets have had a pretty good run after their release, CEO Tim Cook predicted that it would be an “iPad Christmas,” and it was indeed. Apart from selling brand new units, Apple also sells refurbished products through its online store. Customers waiting for the refurbished iPad Air models are now in luck, the online store has finally begun carrying them.
