Supposing you’re a heavy user of Apple’s personal assistant Siri, you’ll be glad to know that the company has just acquired a company that’ll make her a whole lot better. … Continue reading
The iPhone 4 was released back in 2010, which means that the handset is about four years old now. While the phone does support iOS 7, it’s probably in the best interest of iPhone 4 users to install the update simply because the phone is having a really hard time handling the software, or at least that’s what the reports claim.
In fact The New York Times claims that this is “planned obsolescence” which basically means that Apple is making life difficult for iPhone 4 users so that they’d ditch their phone for something newer, like the iPhone 5s perhaps. However the good news is that thanks to iOS 7.1, using the iPhone 4 is actually a lot better now. (more…)

This is something quite unusual, Apple normally does not resume production of a product that has been discontinued. The iPhone 4 was quite popular when it came out, but since then it has been succeeded by four different models, and even if some might not consider it to be an outdated product, its safe to say that it has lost its appeal to its younger brethren. A report claims that Foxconn has resumed iPhone 4 production in China as Apple looks to launch the smartphone once again in select markets.

The iPhone 4 was released back in 2010 and despite it being overtaken by devices like the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, and iPhone 5s, the handset could be looking to make a comeback in India in the form of an 8GB model. According to a report from The Economic Times, they claim that Apple is expected to begin sales of an 8GB iPhone 4 in the near future in a bid to help gain more market share and address lagging sales in the country. Given that Apple’s products are typically viewed as a “premium” product, its price tag, especially in developing markets, are usually out of the reach of the majority. So for Apple to introduce a cheaper and more affordable iPhone, those looking to get on the iPhone bandwagon will be able to do so at a lower cost.
According to the report, the 8GB iPhone 4 will be priced at roughly $243 which is about $187 cheaper than what the phone cost back when it was launched. The price of $243 will be after buybacks and monthly instalment plans. However like we said, with Apple concentrating on their latest smartphones, who will supply Apple’s iPhone 4? Well the rumors claim that Apple could be sourcing unsold iPhone 4 units from vendors around the world, although this could prove to be a very huge undertaking. Naturally Apple has yet to announce anything but if the rumors are to be believed, sales could begin as soon as next week.

There is no “Apple Trap”
Posted in: Today's ChiliThere’s a conspiracy theory appearing in print this week summoning up the suggestion that Apple purposefully creates products that become obsolete over time. The very idea that such an article exists – here in 2013, no less – but that it only targets one single company as such makes it clear: someone didn’t do their […]
When you’ve got a company that sells products as successfully as Apple, there’s a good chance a group like RED comes knocking at your door at some point or another. For Apple, that time came quite a few years ago – and here in 2013, RED spokesperson Bono has given Apple a round of applause […]
We’ve seen an iPhone 5 case that has a Lightning cable attached to its back, which would allow you to charge your iPhone 5 nearly anywhere there’s a power outlet, so long as you have your adapter with you. You don’t see many iPhone cases that come with a built-in charger, which is exactly what makes the Prong PocketPlug so unique as it combines an iPhone case with a charger that helps to do away with wires and cables.
