The iPhone 6 is expected to be released later this year and there have been many rumors surrounding the specs of the device. For the most part the rumors are claiming that Apple will turn to the use of a larger display that would finally put them on par with Android devices who have long had smartphones with huge displays.

Now thanks to a new rumor from electronics analyst, Sun Chang Xu (via her Weibo account), it seems that additional features of the iPhone 6 have been revealed, and these features include new sensors built into the phone such as a temperature, atmospheric pressure, and humidity sensors. (more…)

Later this year, presumably during Q3 2014, Apple will launch the iPhone 6. We can only assume this is the case based on previous releases in the past, but interestingly enough it seems that the iPhone 6 is one to look forward to.

Sure there are a lot of reasons to look forward to the iPhone 6, but according to the rumors, Apple could introduce a larger screen in the iPhone 6 that would finally put it in competition with Android devices which has long had large screens with high resolutions. To that extent, it seems that with this larger iPhone, Apple could be looking to ship as many as 90 million iPhone 6 units in 2014 alone. (more…)

Presumably if Apple sticks with its traditional release cycles, the new iPhone won’t be coming until Fall. However, there have already been many rumors about the iPhone 6, some believe Apple might launch it early this year, possibly in Summer. It is believed that the display size will be finally bumped up this year, and now a purported iPhone 6 front panel has leaked online which hints at just that. Though it is a bit too soon for components of the next generation iPhone to surface, usually when things like these come up so soon its possible that they’re not the real deal.

This week has all been about 2014 flagships. At Mobile World Congress many companies showed off the devices that are their new flagships. Apple doesn’t officially take part in this event, its software related announcements are made every summer at WWDC. The company holds off most of its mobile device announcements until fall. Though recently there have been rumors that Apple might unveil the new iPhones a bit early this time around, and an analyst running checks on Apple’s suppliers in Asia claims that this just might be the case.

iPhone 6 Release In July [Analyst] original content from Ubergizmo.

Assuming Apple keeps to their schedule, the iPhone 6 will be launched around Q3 2014. Given that Apple has in the past thrown us for a loop with the release of the iPhone 4S, safe to say that anything could happen. That being said, whether Apple chooses to launch the iPhone 6 at WWDC or later in the year, we reckon February is still a little too early to begin queuing for the device. However that has not stopped a Japanese blogger called Yoppy from standing in line. Yoppy is reportedly working off a rumor that the handset could see a September release. This means that his decision to stand in line would give him pretty much a 7 month head start over everyone else.

This is actually not the first time that Yoppy has queued for an iPhone and we doubt that it would be his last. Previously Yoppy had attempted to queue for the iPhone 5 in a bid to be the first one in Japan to purchase the device. Unfortunately his efforts have failed which might explain why his decision to begin queuing for the iPhone 6 a good 7 months ahead of time. 7 months is a pretty long time to wait and we’re not sure if his resolve will be able to hold up until the later part of the year, but good on him for trying we guess. What do guys think of Yoppy’s chances of being the first in Japan to own the iPhone 6?
