Whether you’re documenting something bizarre you saw on the subway, or secretly capturing images of your crush, this rotating spy lens from Photojojo makes it incredibly easy to covertly capture images on your iPhone. Think of it as a tiny periscope for your smartphone, but instead of torpedoing frigates, you can use it to sink reputations, or just collect some useful blackmail material.
The iPhone is rumored to come in three colors so far: white, black, and gold. But wait — there seems to be another color making the rumor rounds. A grey, graphite, or gunmetal (whatever you want to call it) color for the iPhone 5S has leaked, pointing to the possibility of the new Apple phone […]
Apple rumormonger du jour Sonny Dickson has outed the latest in a series of reputed scoops: An iPhone 5S in not white, black, or gold, but graphite. It sounds potentially lovely! It looks… not so much. Which is why it seems particularly unlikely that this is the real deal.
Sources are telling me the new iPhone’s A7 chip is running at about 31% faster than A6. I’m hearing it’s very fast.

NTT DOCOMO Reported To Officially Sell The iPhone On Their Network This Year
Posted in: Today's ChiliWhile NTT DOCOMO might be Japan’s largest carrier, if there’s one thing that they do not have that their competitors do, is Apple’s iPhone, and because of that there have been reports that they are losing subscribers to the competition. Last we heard despite the carrier bleeding subscribers, they weren’t too eager to get the iPhone on their network due to the string of conditions that comes with it, but now it looks like the carrier might have a change of heart. Shares of the carrier have been on the rise following a rumor that NTT DOCOMO is set to get the iPhone on their network later this year.
According to the article at Sankei, “A new iPhone from Apple is expected in September. The Japanese market are paying close attention to whether NTT docomo will be selling the new model or not. Having sold two other models as their main phones in the past summer season, the company is ready, as the vice-president Kazuto Tsubouchi has commented “the only problem is WHEN we are going to sell it.” Assuming that this is true, Apple could be closing deals with some pretty large carriers, as last we heard Apple was in talks with China Mobile about selling the iPhone as well.

There are seemingly a billion and one iPhone and iPod docks on the market, so how do you make one that stands out from the crowd? Simple. Make one that looks like this.
SKU Style’s custom-made dock for 30-pin iOS devices is designed to look like a DJ rig. The center dock looks like a mixer, while the left and right speakers look just like turntables. It’s really a brilliant design, and would look great sitting on your bookshelf. Each component is made from sculpted resin and covered with white paint.
Check it out over on Etsy, where you can grab it for $400(USD). Just don’t try scratching the turntables by sticking your fingers on the platters. You’re likely to puncture a speaker cone or something.
Every day, we get closer to the September 10 Apple event, at which we’ll get the official reveal for the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C. However, today you can get a look at the 5C a little early as leaked photos and a video show a colorful array of back cases and a setup […]
When we spotted this photo on French blog NoWhereElse, we were close to dismissing this as just a bunch of iPhone 5C knock-offs (the shanzhai industry works very fast), just as the site also speculates. But after digging around the original poster’s Sina Weibo profile, we deduced that this spy shot came straight out of Pegatron’s Shanghai plant, which matches what we’ve read in the recent China Labor Watch report on Apple.
According to her posts, the cheeky employee — or more likely an ex-employee at this point — in question joined the company’s quality control department around mid-July. In an earlier comment, she also hinted that her plant is responsible for the latest Mac mini as well. The above photo was published yesterday, and it only came with the following caption:
“The low-end iPhone 5C to be launched for Chinese consumers in September doesn’t look much different than the Xiaomi Phone 2, right?”
While it doesn’t explain what’s going on in the image, this appears to be a warm-up procedure (likely just with small batches for quality control) to make sure the devices are fully functional before they are boxed up. We’ve seen this in factory tours before, but no photography was allowed in the production lines; which makes us wonder how this shot came out of a supposedly well-guarded environment. September couldn’t come any quicker for leaky Apple.

Welcome to the weekend. The sun may or may not be shining, but you’ll always have the warm glow of your mobile applications to keep you company. And that’s all that matters after all, right? Here’s a few more friends to add to your ever-loyal gang.
Though it’s not quite as likely that we’d find official Apple-made hardware leaked to a Japan-based parts replacement store as it would one in China, today’s appearance of a Gunmetal-colored iPhone 5S SIM-tray is intriguing all the same. What we’re seeing here is a series of comparison shots of this Gunmetal color (not black, but […]
