Even with quite a number of criticisms and detractors, there are still those who can’t wait to get their hands on Apple’s new smartphones. That wait is almost done for some as Apple and major US carriers start opening their doors to pre-orders for the colorful iPhone 5c. It’s hard not to get swept up […]
iPhone 5C pre-orders just went live and if you want to brighten up your life with some colorful plastic and if you want to avoid waiting in a silly line, you can head over to Apple.com to get your new iPhone.
iPhone 5c pre-orders are open: AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and other carriers are now live
Posted in: Today's ChiliApple is ready to start taking your money for the iPhone 5c in all its multi-hued glory. You can hit the Apple Store to order one on a two year contract through Sprint, AT&T and Verizon for $99 (16GB) and $199 (32GB). It can also be pre-ordered from all those carriers directly (see the links above) at the the same prices, and if unlocked is more your thing, a contract-free version is available through T-Mobile for $549 (16GB) and $649 (32GB). Pre-orders have also opened across ten other countries, like Canada and the UK, where the sun has already risen on Friday the 13th. They’ll start shipping out on September 20th, the same day the iPhone 5s hits stores. A bit more than some thought they’d be, but you can’t put a price on being first, right?
Update: Apple’s store is now up, and it looks like you can also pre-order from T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon at the links above. Other international carriers are also taking orders; we’ve rounded up a few at the More Coverage link after the break.

A gold-colored HTC One part has come to light in China. The start of a new trend
Apple and Burberry have joined forces to announce that the newly introduced iPhone 5s will be used to photograph and record the Burberry runway show in London next week, using the device exclusively for backstage moments, product details, and runway/beauty looks. Such will serve to show off the iPhone 5s’s new iSight camera. Apple has […]
Now that we know all about the latest generation of iPhone(s), it’s time to start guessing what Apple’s going to do next. This is a time when true fanboys dive into Apple’s growing library of patents for clues. And while we can’t expect all these patents to make it to market, it’s fun to wonder.
Earlier this week Apple held an event in which they changed their model for releasing iPhones, replacing the until-recently standard hero device iPhone 5 instead of just bumping it down a notch in the pricing structure. In comes the iPhone 5s as the hero, and the iPhone 5c to take the second tier. But here’s […]
The Prong PocketPlug case makes charging your iPhone a little more convenient by doing away with the wires. It’s bulkier than your typical phone case, but that’s because it’s got a phone charger built into it.
Just slip your phone into the case and flip out the swiveling prongs on the back of the case. Plug it into an outlet, and voila! Your phone’s charging. It comes especially handy when you’re traveling, because you won’t have to pack any additional cables, wires, or chargers anymore.
You won’t be able to use the phone while it’s charging, since it’ll be positioned against the wall. So in case you want to use it while it’s juicing up, just bring a cable because the Prong PocketPlug has a micro USB port on the side for corded charging.
The PocketPlug is available for the iPhone 4/4S and the iPhone 5 for $59.95 and $69.95 (USD), respectively.

Tonight, legions will descend upon Apple’s website to pre-order the new iPhone 5C. But as the sales start stacking up, the ship date will be pushed back beyond the September 20th launch. Here’s everywhere else you’ll be able to pre-order the phone so that you get it on day one.
Those who frequently upgrade their iPhones will be happy today — AT&T and T-Mobile have just disclosed their installment pricing for the iPhone 5c and 5s. Subscribers to AT&T Next will pay nothing up front, with monthly payments ranging from $22 per month for a 16GB iPhone 5c to $37 for a 64GB iPhone 5s. As usual, Next members can leap to a new device every year. T-Mobile hasn’t provided its full pricing, but says that customers can buy a 16GB iPhone 5c for zero down and $22 per month over two years; the 16GB iPhone 5s costs $99 down and $23 per month. You’ll still have to wait until either September 13th (for the iPhone 5c) or the 20th (for the 5s) to purchase from either carrier, but at least you won’t have to deal with the hassles of a contract.
