If you love to bring your music with you wherever you go, then I am quite sure that you would have done your fair share of research when it comes to a good pair of earphones or earbuds. Let’s just say that you are about to part with your hard earned money for a pair of earbuds after having set your eye on a particular model, perhaps it is time to hold your horses. Jabra has come up with something new – the Jabra Rox wireless earbuds, since it does not require any pesky jacks or cables to deliver fantastic audio quality, as it offers a perfect fit with the ability to withstand any abuse.

To make sure that you know what you are picking up, the Jabra Rox has already started to make waves, as it has recently been selected as a 2014 CES Innovations Design and Engineering Awards Honoree in the headphones product category. Throughout the design of the Rox, plenty of details were taken into consideration, as each part of the earbuds come with a specific purpose. It will also be made out of the finest materials, stainless steel included, to make sure that it will be able to last and function in a durable manner.

The Jabra Rox comes in a sculptured, low-profile design that is based on musicians’ in-ear monitors in order to deliver maximum bass response. It also sports a comfortable, low-profile fit which sits tight, and whenever you happen to be more active than normal, there are the optional EarWings that will lock them in. Thanks to its unique design, it enables the powerful speakers to deliver truly remarkable sound as it does in rich Dolby stereo.

It can also hook up wirelessly either via Bluetooth or tap to pair using NFC connectivity. This IP52 certified device will offer protection against dust and water, and comes with exclusive built-in power-saving magnets. It comes with a playback time of up to 5.5 hours, in addition to sporting in-line controls so that your handset remains in your pocket all the time.

A dog’s bark might be worse than its bite, or so the saying goes. How about performance of a piece of consumer electronics that is small in size, but it might be large in capability? I think that is just the perception that Jabra intends to put across with the introduction of the Jabra Solemate Mini, where it might be compact in size, but is more than capable of delivering surprisingly big sound. For those of you out there who tend to do a whole lot of traveling, and yet have a great love for music (and want to share that love most of the time), the Jabra Solemate Mini would seem to be a suitable travel companion, as it is capable of pumping out the tunes of your choice from a compatible source as long as there is juice left within.

Just what kind of performance can we expect from the Jabra Solemate Mini? Well, it is decent enough for everyday music, but if you are thinking of it to roll out an audiophile-worthy experience, then forget about it. We do know that the Jabra Solemate Mini will appeal to the younger crowd though as it comes in red, yellow, blue or black shades later in the fourth quarter of the year for $99 a pop.

Apart from the Jabra Solemate Mini, Jabra has also taken this opportunity to announce an enhanced version of the Jabra Solemate, which would see it come with an enriched sound experience and usability, NFC pairing, and a quartet of eye popping shades – red, blue, yellow and grey. Not only that, the refreshed Solemate will also feature the new Jabra Sound App with Dolby Digital Plus sound, which would pave the way for you to stream YouTube music videos and on-device stored content all the while using the offline feature for playback. This refreshed Solemate, too, will be made available sometime in Q4 this year for $149.99 a pop.
