Thor Prances for Our Amusement

Sometimes Thor does things that have others shaking their heads. Like his father, for instance. But other people’s approval or disapproval don’t really sway him from what he eventually chooses to do.

Like prance, for instance.

Not that this is the real Thor, of course, because the closest thing you can come to a “real Thor” is Chris Hemsworth and I don’t think he’ll be prancing around in costume anytime soon.

The secrets of Thor’s workout routine is revealed by YouTuber EveryDayThor, who was clearly inspired by Joanna Rohrback’s epic Prancercise video. It’s pretty funny, so if you’re bored and looking for something to kill the next two minutes, then check the clip out below.

LEGO Mass Effect Normandy SR-2: My Favorite Toy on the Citadel

LEGO enthusiast Ben Caulkins made this sweet LEGO model of the Normandy SR-2, Commander Shepard’s flying base in Mass Effect 2. The ship is almost 4 ft. long and has a 19″ wingspan. It needs a Garrus minifig to calibrate its weapons.

I don’t know why I didn’t notice it until now, but the Normandy kind of looks like it has a Volus mask on. It’s not so apparent in Caulkin’s model though.

WNBA Debuts Referee Camera: The Official Point of View of the WNBA

At the June 8 match between the Phoenix Mercury and the Indiana Fever, the WNBA introduced a new camera that put viewers incredibly close to the action on court. Made by Broadcast Sports Inc., the “ref cam” is a small camera that takes video from the referee’s perspective. Referee Lamont Simpson got first dibs on the wearable camera. I’m sure his whistle was highly insecure that day.

Here’s some of the shots that the camera took in its debut appearance:

And here’s a bonus clip from ESPN, showing Simpson calling a technical foul: Edit: ESPN made the YouTube video private. Sorry guys. Simpson said that he found it awkward at first. He said that he had to keep on adjusting the headset the entire first half because it moved around when he became sweaty. But he also said that he got used to it by the second half. Simpson can’t get too attached to it just yet though, because for now the ESPN and the WNBA will decide when the ref cam will be used. They should make pro golfers wear these so we can all tune in for some in-your-face walks in beautiful parks.

Realistic Company Slogans Speak More Truth Than the Existing Ones

Some companies come up with great advertising campaigns and slogans, even when their products or services fall short more often than not. You could always call their hotline and make complaints that fall on deaf ears… or you could do so in an unconventional and funny way and send a message to the company at the same time.

How? By going viral with realistic company slogans that describe what these firms are really doing for and to their customers. This probably wasn’t the intention of Redditor Mrguest, but if a company has wronged you, then you might want to try this approach to make them listen to you and your concerns.

Over 16,000 responses were recorded in Mrguest’s thread, and BuzzFeed has logofied the best responses to make it easier for the rest of us to digest.

The Adobe one above happens to be my favorite, and the one for RadioShack is a close second. Check out the rest in the gallery below and see which realistic slogan is the most fitting for its respective company.

This Engine Probably Has an Extra 30 Horsepower

A couple of years ago we saw a pretty sweet Scion xB that was modded as an homage to 8-bit gaming. It would’ve been more awesome if it had this engine. It’s a Honda Civic B series engine made to look like a NES controller, complete with the Konami Code at the bottom.

What I really want to see is a car with a NES controller for a steering wheel – er, steering controller.

Lightsaber Knitting Needles: for Stitch Lords

A couple of weeks ago we saw a crochet hook that looks like a lightsaber. This DIY project on the other hand gives you a knitting implement that looks like a lightsaber, except this time it also lights up. Not that you’d want to knit in the dark.

Instructables member Random_Canadian came up with the design. He used small LED flashlights as the base. He replaced the white LEDs in the flashlights with red and green, but you can pick whatever color you want. He then used acrylic rods as needles, because the rods focus and extend the light from the LEDs.

Furby Living Turns Pop Icons into Freaky Furbies

My mom never got me a Furby when I was a kid, and now I understand why. Those things look freaky–and definitely not in a good way. I know some people think they’re the most adorable things in the world, but their huge bug eyes really up their creepiness factor for me.

They’re not as popular as they used to be, but they’re still very much present in pop culture. Furby Living is a testament to that. It’s a blog that takes album covers of some of the hottest artists today and “furbifies” them.

Furby Living

Nicki Minaj isn’t the only artist who got furbified, as Lady Gaga, Adele, Justin Bieber, Christina Aguilera, and a whole host of others got the same treatment as well.

You can check them out in the gallery below.
