Amazon Kindle Fire HDX Gets Interest Free Payment Plan

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX Gets Interest Free Payment PlanThere are times in life when we absolutely want something, but are unable to get it simply because we lack the necessary funds to do so. Well, it is a good thing then that financial institutions come up with this idea of a 0% interest instalment plan, and depending on the package that you pick, it could range anywhere from a few months to a year, or even more. Amazon does seem as though they want to continue pushing out their Kindle Fire HDX tablet and will go to great lengths so that you can be a proud owner of a new one. Good news then, for those who have always wanted to pick one up but never really got down to it because of the entry cost – Amazon will offer the Kindle Fire HDX tablet on a quarterly payment plan.

It goes without saying that the amount of each installment will vary depending on the size as well as configuration that you select. For instance, the 7” model comes with Wi-Fi connectivity, 16GB of internal memory and Special Offers, will cost you $57 per payment. If you want a model that has the same specifications, but comes with a more generous 8.9” display, it will cost you $95 per quarter. All of it without any kind of financing fees or interest to worry about, but should you miss a payment, you will be prevented from accessing its content library, with the possibility of a deleted account. Amazon’s New Ad Pokes Fun At The iPad Air

Lately Microsoft has been making the news by poking fun at both Samsung and Apple products, but it looks like it’s Amazon’s turn to have some fun and the company has recently released an ad which pokes fun at Apple’s iPad Air, although in this case they made use of an actor with a British accent which we can only assume is mocking Apple’s Jony Ive, the designer of the iPad Air amongst other Apple products. As expected the ad pits the iPad Air against Amazon’s own tablet offering, the latest Kindle Fire HDX which was announced a couple of months back.

The ad boasts that the Kindle Fire HDX weighs 20% less than the iPad Air, features more pixels in its display, and not to mention its lower cost which is at $379 for the 16GB model, while Apple’s own offering is set at $499. Those are some valid points, to be honest, but once again we are comparing different smartphone platforms and ecosystems, so apart from just hardware specs, there are other factors the customers have to consider when buying into a platform. In any case if you have a minute to spare, you can check out Amazon’s attempt at mocking the iPad Air and Jony Ive in the video above.

    Amazon Kindle Fire HDX Rooted

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX RootedFor those of you who are interested in the less famous Android-powered tablets (or at least, variants of it), then you would also want to be in the know about the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7” and 8.9” tablet models that ship with a custom version of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, calling it the Fire OS. What kind of goodies will Fire OS come with? For starters, it will include Amazon’s custom user interface that will allow one to interact with books, media, and apps, and it will also remain extremely integrated with Amazon’s app and digital music, movie, and book stores. If you have an inkling or are simply itching to alter the way the tablet functions, then root access is required

Just what is rooting? For starters, if one were to root an Android device, you will be able to gain access to files as well as settings which would remain off limits to users normally. This would enable you to power apps which require root permissions normally, where among them include the likes of Root Explorer and Titanium Backup. Do bear in mind that rooting your Kindle Fire HDX would in all probability void your warranty, so be aware of that before you take the plunge.
