LG Bedding King Wireless Bed Cleaner

LG Bedding King Wireless Bed CleanerLG has just introduced the wireless bedding cleaner that is known as the Bedding King in South Korea, except that this particular device will target the Japanese market instead. Bedding King was first rolled out in October of 2013, where it did meet a reasonable degree of success in its domestic market. Other than the Land of the Rising Sun, it has also launched in China. Well, we do know that demand for bedding cleaners increased by 30% in Japan because of the extra humid climate. This wireless bedding cleaner from LG will go about removing ticks as well as hairs on the bed using motion vibration, a powerful suction power as well as a soft rotation brush.

LG G2 Mini To Have Three Hardware Variants

LG G2 Mini To Have Three Hardware Variants

Yesterday, out of the blue, the LG G2 mini was officially unveiled. This surprised a few people since the teasers that LG had been releasing for the past week hinted at the possibility of an unveiling on February 24th, at the Mobile World Congress 2014. There’s a possibility that some arm of the company jumped the gun, as the announcement was not exactly brimming with details. New information has come forward about the LG G2 mini, its going to have three different hardware variants.

LG G Pro 2 all set to rock with Knock Code

lg-g-pro-2The folks over at LG Electronics have just introduced the spanking new LG G Pro 2, which will be sequel to the LG G Pro. In fact, the LG G Pro happened to pick up the gong of being the Best Smartphone of MWC 2013. We do wonder whether the LG G Pro 2 will win any awards at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, later this month. Just what will the LG G Pro 2 be able to deliver? Let us find out right after the jump.

For starters, the LG G Pro 2 will arrive with a stunning 5.9” Full HD IPS display alongside an extremely slim bezel of 3.3mm, delivering an industry-leading screen-to-frame ratio of 77.2%. Not only that, it will also feature a thicker, high-power 1W Hi-Fi sound that is touted to be 30% louder compared to its predecessor, offering clearer sound with more powerful bass. What makes the LG G Pro 2 most interesting is the manner in which the powering on and unlocking process works.

Basically, LG engineers have come up with this feature known as Knock Code that would make the unlocking process easier and a whole lot more convenient than ever before. Knock Code would enable owners to power on and unlock their G Pro 2 smartphones in a single and easy step, through the tapping of one’s screens using one of 86,367 “knock” combinations. The intelligent algorithm and advanced hardware combination is a potent one, where you can input the knock pattern on any area of the screen, even when the display is turned off, with anywhere from two to eight taps to choose from.

Other hardware specifications include a quad-core 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, the Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB RAM, a choice of 16GB or 32GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot, and Android 4.4 KitKat right out of the box.

LG Apparently Wants To Wow Google With Its Technology

LG Apparently Wants To Wow Google With Its Technology

Rumor has it that LG is going to Mountain View, Google’s HQ, in a bid to wow the company with its tech. Both companies are said to be meeting for two days, with LG presenting tech created by its numerous branches, such as LG Innotek, LG Display, LG Chem and LG Electronics. The idea behind this is believed to be LG’s ambition of continuing its partnership with Google, and by showing its creations off to the company, it may be able to expand upon its existing partnership.

LG Claims G Pro 2 Knock Code Safer Than Touch ID

LG Claims G Pro 2 Knock Code Safer Than Touch ID

These days OEMs are putting in a lot of time and resources towards improving smart access systems on their mobile devices. A popular method is fingerprint scanning, which Apple used in its existing flagship smartphone, the iPhone 5s. Called Touch ID, the scanner sits underneath the home button and only grants access to users that have configured their fingerprints. Its quite secure, seeing as how all eight billion plus of us have unique fingerprints, but LG claims its access control system found on the G Pro 2 is much safer. Its system is called Knock Code.

LG Announces L90, L70, L40 Handsets Ahead Of MWC 2014

LG Announces L90, L70, L40 Handsets Ahead Of MWC 2014Just last week LG launched their latest handset in the form of the LG G Pro 2. LG’s decision to  announce the handset ahead of MWC was a smart move especially when considering that there will be too many devices at the event which might end up overshadowing their products. That being said, it seems that LG has also recently announced a trio of low-mid ranged smartphones which might appeal to those shopping on a budget in which the G Pro 2 might be a little of out their financial reach. The company has announced a trio of handsets in the form of the LG L90, L70, and the L40. Pricing and availability have yet to be determined, but hopefully more will be revealed at MWC 2014.

In any case for those wondering about the specs, the LG L90 is probably the best of the bunch. It will pack a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with a 4.7-inch qHD display with a resolution of 960×540. It will feature 1GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage, an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, and a 2,540mAh removable battery. As for the LG L70 and L40, both devices will pack a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, but for the L70, it will feature a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 800×400, while the L40 will pack a 3.5-inch 480×320 display. The L70 will pack 1GB of RAM versus the L40’s 512MB, but both handsets will come with 4GB of default onboard storage. The L70 will also come with an 8MP rear-facing camera or a 5MP one depending on the market, while the L40 will pack a 3MP camera. However if there is one feature that all phones share is that they will come with Android 4.4 KitKat preinstalled.

LG G Pad 8.3 For Verizon Leaked

LG G Pad 8.3 For Verizon LeakedBack in 2013, LG announced a new tablet in the form of the LG G Pad 8.3. The tablet packed some pretty decent specs and according to the rumors, it was also expected to make its way onto Verizon’s network where presumably we would be able to purchase the device with 4G LTE connectivity. Well the good news is that thanks to the ever reliable @evleaks, a press rendering of the LG G Pad 8.3 for Verizon has made its way online. Unfortunately @evleaks did not mention when we might be able to expect the tablet to be announced by Verizon but given that the tablet has been out for a while now, we can only hope it will be soon when Verizon makes the announcement.

In case you missed our coverage and our review from last year, the LG G Pad will sport an 8.3-inch 1920×1200 IPS display with a pixel density of 273PPI. The tablet will also be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7GHz and will be accompanied by 2GB of RAM, a 5MP rear-facing camera, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, and will be available in either 16GB or 32GB storage options. Unfortunately it will only arrive with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean but hopefully we will see it updated to Android 4.4 KitKat in the near future, or at least before it is announced for Verizon. Also based on the rendering, it looks like apart from your usual WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity options, the G Pad 8.3 will also support Verizon’s 4G LTE networks.
