LG G Flex Press Renderings For AT&T And T-Mobile Leaked

LG G Flex Press Renderings For AT&T And T Mobile LeakedThe LG G Flex is the South Korean company’s attempt at creating a smartphone with a curved display, taking on the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Round in the process. We had heard that LG planned to release the handset globally and that as far as a stateside launch was concerned, the device was scheduled to be launched on three of the major carriers, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint. Unfortunately until today we have not heard word about a possible release date, but thanks to the ever-reliable @evleaks, the press rendering of both AT&T and T-Mobile’s version of the handset has made its way online.

However given that the LG G Flex will look exactly the same, there’s no telling which model pictured above is for which carrier, save for the carrier’s name sighted in either model, then again we don’t expect LG to be making drastic design changes for every single carrier, so we guess that’s to be expected. In any case @evleaks has been pretty spot on in terms of his leaks so for all we know this could be a possibility. Like we said availability of the handset has not yet been made available, nor pricing, but hopefully we will hear more from LG soon, hopefully at CES 2014, so be sure to check back with us then for the details!

LG To Reportedly Launch G Pro 2 Before G3

LG To Reportedly Launch G Pro 2 Before G3

Rumors have already started circulating about the successor to the popular LG G2 smartphone. Apparently the company wasn’t able to sell as many G2 units as it wanted to, which is believed to be the reason why its going to launch the successor a bit earlier this year. LG itself hasn’t commented on its 2014 smartphone plans as yet, but reports coming in from Korea suggest that the company might first launch the G Pro 2 before moving on to the G3. G Pro 2 will be the successor of its Optimus G Pro smartphone.

It is believed that the G Pro 2 might be released around March 2014. Not much is known about this device right now, nothing has been rumored about its specifications or design. The display size, 5.5 inches, is expected to be retained while improvements are expected under the hood. As far as the LG G3 is concerned, it is rumored to have a 2,560×1,440 pixel resolution display, LG’s own octacore processor, 16 megapixel rear camera and possibly a fingerprint scanner as well. Nothing has been said as yet about the design of the G3 as well, so its a bit early to be really sure about how LG’s 2014 premium smartphone lineup is going to shape up.

LG webOS TV Cards User Interface Leaked

LG webOS TV Cards User Interface LeakedAccording to reports, LG will be unveiling their webOS-based smart television come CES 2014. One of the unique aspects of the upcoming device would be its cards interface and thanks to a recently leaked photo from the ever-reliable @evleaks, we now know what we might able to expect from LG next week. Pictured above appears to be the upcoming smart TV from LG running the webOS operating system, and true to the rumors, it looks like the cards interface is present and does give off a rather unique and interesting vibe. Considering that smart TVs these days share a somewhat similar interface to smartphones, which we guess is understandable given the experience that most of us have navigating smartphone, this new UI is a big departure in terms of design.

The leaked interface also shows off apps from YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Skype, assuming of course these apps will be available and weren’t simply throw in there as mockups. As to how well this interface will perform versus the more traditional look remains to be seen, and it will be interesting to see if LG’s take on the new UI is more function than form. Either way we expect we will learn more come CES 2014, so if you’re interested in seeing what LG’s upcoming smart TV and its new user interface has to offer, check back with us then for the details.

LG To Announce New OLED TVs At CES 2014

LG To Announce New OLED TVs At CES 2014If you’re a fan of television sets and if you were thinking about furnishing your home with a brand new TV, you’re in luck because according to LG, the South Korean tech giant plans on unveiling what they’re calling the most comprehensive OLED TV lineup on the planet come CES 2014, which is taking place later next week. During the exhibition, LG will be taking the opportunity to unveil a series of OLED televisions ranging in a variety of sizes, with the smallest being of the 55-inch variety, and the largest being a 77-inch curved Ultra HD display, all of which will feature LG’s WRGB OLED technology and 4K resolution.

Now we’re sure some of you guys are wondering with companies unveiling new televisions every year, doesn’t it get expensive to keep upgrading? Well fret not because LG is boasting that their TVs are future proof, meaning that they will be able to decode broadcast signals in both H.264 and HEVC H.265 formats, at either 30p or 60p. The 77-inch model will also run on LG’s latest smart TV platform, but as to whether that platform is the webOS one which we recently saw leaked remains to be seen.

The 55-inch model will come with LG’s Canvas Speaker which is a 2.2 channel, 100W forward-facing set of speakers, which LG is boasting that along with the display technology beneath it, will actually make a living room feel like an art gallery. This is thanks to features such as Gallery Mode that will turn the TV into a picture frame while displaying some of the world’s most famous pieces of art. Unfortunately pricing and availability were not mentioned, but we can only hope that LG has more information to share come CES 2014, so check back with us then for the details.

Alleged LG Lifetouch Band Photo Leaked

Alleged LG Lifetouch Band Photo LeakedAccording to the rumors, LG could be looking to launch new wearable products come 2014. One of them is allegedly a smartwatch but while LG has not confirmed such a device, they did state that wearable tech products were in the works. Apart from the rumored smartwatch, another rumored LG wearable tech product is said to be a fitness band of sorts, similar to that of the Nike FuelBand SE, Fitibt, or Jawbone Up, and thanks to a newly leaked photo by @evleaks, we could be getting our very first look at the upcoming LG fitness band which is allegedly known as the the LG Lifeband Touch. Based on what we can see, LG’s offering is looking similar to the FuelBand SE and looks to have some kind of display on the surface, either that or it’s just a really glossy material.

The features remain unknown but presumably it will offer the same features found on other fitness bands, such as step counting, distance run, calories burnt, and maybe even a heart rate monitor. It is also unclear as to whether this device will be a standalone device or if it will be like the Samsung Galaxy Gear which at the moment is only compatible with a handful of Samsung’s smartphones, somewhat limiting its use. In any case hopefully more will be known at CES 2014 which is taking place very soon, so do check back with us then for the details.

    LG Pocket Photo 2.0 launched

lg-pocketphotoLG, the South Korean consumer electronics giant, has just announced that they will be showcasing their LG Pocket Photo 2.0 over at CES 2014 that is kicking off in less than a fortnight’s time. This will be the second iteration of their original Pocket Photo device, where it will offer enhanced portability thanks to its form factor, letting you customize, print and share images regardless of where you are. Just what kind of connectivity options will the latest LG Pocket Photo 2.0 come with? It features wireless connectivity such as NFC and Bluetooth, allowing you to instantly print 2” x 3” photos from majority of the tablets and smartphones that are in use today. Not only that, it will also play nice with Android and iOS devices, which should cover a fair bit of ground – although Windows Phone and BlackBerry owners would miss out on the Pocket Photo boat.

Touted to be one of the smallest mobile photo printing devices on the market, this most recent version would have shaved off 4mm from its predecessor in terms of thickness, and yet it does not affect its performance at all. On the contrary, the LG Pocket Photo 2.0 would be able to print pictures rendered at a crystal clear 313dpi, which makes them perfect for sharing or displaying. You will first need to download and install the free Pocket Photo editing app though, so that you will be able to print right off the bat after connecting your smartphone or tablet to it sans wires.

LG has also gone the extra mile to introduce enhancements to the editing features in the accompanying Pocket Photo app, paving the way for you to experiment with an expanded range of customization options. There is a new set of filter effects thrown into the mix as well, in addition to a clever frame augmentation feature. Not only that, you can also opt to embed QR codes in photos, making it a convenient method to connect a physical photograph with an online community or an Internet-based content. ZINK’s inkless paper system will deal with the photo printing process, and a single full charge of the LG Pocket Photo 2.0 delivers up to 30 photo prints.
