LG G2 Manual Leaked

LG G2 Manual LeakedThe LG G2 is a smartphone that is already on the way (the official release date is said to be just a couple of days away), and its manual has just leaked out, where additional information reveals a nano-SIM standard as well as a rear unlock button. French tech blog Nowhereelse.fr is the one who supplied the slides of the alleged LG G2 manual, where it will use the nano-SIM standard that is similar to the Motorola Moto X and the iPhone 5. Other than that, there is also confirmation of a 2,610mAh battery underneath the hood, which can be removed.

Apart from that, there is also a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes, and a button at the back that is located between the volume buttons which happens to be a power/lock key. The LG G2 is tipped to arrive in the US later this September, and we also know of one accessory that has already been confirmed for it – that is, the LG QuickWindow case. Looks like leaked manuals seem to be the way forward these days, no?

Leaked manual for LG G2 confirms nano-SIM slot, no fingerprint reader

Leaked manual for LG G2 reveals rear controls and general specs, no fingerprint reader

The LG G2. We already know plenty about its rear-mounted volume controls, funny cases and passion for classical music. We’ve even seen a video of the 5.2-inch 1080p handset in the flesh. But a question mark has remained over a couple of basic specs until today, when pages from a supposedly leaked manual appeared at reputed surprise-spoiler Nowhereelse.fr. Assuming the info is legit, which it seems to be, we can say that the thing between the volume buttons on the back of the phone is not a fingerprint reader, as some had hoped — it’s just a power/lock button. Also, the phone will follow in the footsteps of the iPhone 5 and Moto X by housing a nano-SIM slot. But unlike those two handsets, the G2 will offer microSD storage expansion, not to mention a removable 2,610mAh battery. At this point, there’s really nothing left to discover except some availability info — oh no, wait, we have some of that too.

New LG IPS UltraWide Monitors Introduced

New LG IPS UltraWide Monitors IntroducedWhen it comes to IPS monitors, you can more or less say that LG is an old hand at that, having rolled out their fair share of IPS monitors in the past. Well, things do not look like they are going to change anytime in the future either. After all, why mess with a winning formula, right? Having said that, LG has announced that they have introduced a new range of IPS UltraWide monitors which will comprise of three models – the 29EA73, 29EB73 and 29MA73.

Each of these models will feature an expansive 21:9 screen, which would allow users to work on different kinds of files at once, while maximizing their movie and gaming experience. The IPS 21:9 UltraWide series will also see the inclusion of other outstanding features which bring your multitasking and entertainment experiences to the next level. It does not matter if you are firing up your favorite movie or playing the latest games, these monitors should be able to get the job done nicely. Connectivity options include Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL), HDMI and DisplayPort, and while we do not have pricing details, the 29EA73 and 29EB73 is tipped for a global roll out later this month, while the 29MA73 will follow later this September. GooPhone and LG to offer first tri-SIM smartphones using MediaTek chips

GooPhone, LG roll out first triSIM smartphones based on MediaTek chips

Dual-SIM phones are handy in regions where international travel and prepaid service are common, but even those devices aren’t always enough for jetsetters. Thankfully, GooPhone and LG have come to those customers’ rescue by launching the first smartphones based on a new MediaTek Triple-SIM chip. Both the leaked GooPhone X1+ (shown above) and a just-shipped variant of the Optimus L4 II (after the break) can juggle three phone lines without a big hit to battery life. Neither tri-SIM phone is high-end: the X1+ reportedly carries a 5-inch FWVGA display and a dual-core MT6572 processor, while the L4 II sports a 3.8-inch HVGA screen and an unnamed 1GHz chip. Despite those limitations, we suspect the handsets will be vital to anyone who’d rather not switch SIMs when crossing the border. LG’s phone is already on sale in Brazil, while the GooPhone X1+ should ship to multiple countries within the next several days.

Pantech Vega LTE-A Is An Upcoming Flagship

Pantech Vega LTE A Is An Upcoming FlagshipI have always maintained the fact that each smartphone manufacturer would do well to roll out a flagship model in order to maintain one’s pride in the industry. After all, they do it with cars and other kinds of purchases, so why not do the same with smartphones? Smartphones are something that we carry with us wherever we go, so if you have something that is of the high end side of things, then it would definitely be worth taking out from your pocket to make full use of it. LG has their LG G2, and Pantech, one of LG’s domestic rivals in South Korea, too wants to release a flagship device that they call the Pantech Vega LTE-A – where it will sport a power button and touchpad on the back, taking a different design cues from its contemporaries.

The Pantech Vega LTE-A is also known as the model number IM-A880S, where it is tipped to be announced later this coming August 6th – and industry watchers might read into this as a potential pre-emptive strike on Pantech’s part of sorts, since that is a day before LG officially reveals the LG G2. The Pantech Vega LTE-A will be powered by Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean right out of the box, accompanied by 2GB RAM, a 5.7” Full HD display, LTE-Advanced connectivity, and a quad-core Snapdragon 800 2.3GHz processor.

LG’s OLED display production plant is taking shape, will fire up second half 2014

LG's OLED display mass production plant is taking shape, will fire up second half 2014

To us, installing some factory equipment doesn’t seem like much cause for celebration. To LG, however, it’s the first piece of tangible progress made towards getting its new OLED manufacturing line up and running. At a shindig held to welcome the equipment to LG’s plant, the company said it expects to begin mass production of panels for 50-inch plus HDTVs in the second half of next year — a little later than the original plan of first half 2014. Hopefully there won’t be any more delays, as we’d quite like to see the production line flowing and the mammoth prices of those gorgeous curved sets come down a little.

    T-Mobile LG Optimus F3 Announced

T Mobile LG Optimus F3 Announced T-Mobile has just announced the consumer customer availability date for the LG Optimus F3, not exactly the latest device to hit the market, and neither is it the best, but it so happens to be the latest 4G LTE device for the mobile carrier. Starting from August 7th, the LG Optimus F3 will have the honor of being the most affordable LTE Android-powered smartphone over at T-Mobile, and those who are interested will be able to pick it up for a limited-time promotion price of $0 down – although it will be accompanied by 24 equal monthly device payments of $101 each, coupled with T-Mobile’s Simple Choice Plan.

In fact, for the LG Optimus F3 to arrive over at T-Mobile this late into the game would ensure that the handset would not make new headway, as it has already appeared over at Sprint, Virgin Mobile and MetroPCS in the past. Just to recap, the LG Optimus F3 comes with a 4-inch vivid IPS display and advanced camera and video features, Wi-Fi calling capabilities, and 4G LTE connectivity among others. Any takers?
