Big Red likes to take its time when rolling out updates for devices, which means that users have to wait for quite a lot of time to get the latest software on their devices. Folks with LG’s existing flagship on Verizon can now get excited. The Verizon LG G2 Android 4.4.2 update has been released. It brings a host of improvements and tweaks as well as subtle user interface changes. The update will be rolled out over-the-air so it should pop up automatically on users’ devices.
Immediately after installing the update users will notice a new location menu as well as white status bar icons, this is staple on all KitKat updates. Other minor tweaks include improved visual voicemail, captions and color adjustment addition. Several things have been renamed in the update. For example, the “Magnification Gestures” label now reads “Touch Zoom.”
Verizon has tweeted that it is going to roll out Android 4.4.2 for LG G2 in phases. This means that the update would be available across all regions at the same time. Users will have to wait for it to go live in their particular region. Once it does, the Verizon LG G2 Android 4.4.2 update will be available for installation on the device itself.

The wait is finally over for LG G2 owners who subscribe to Sprint. Today the carrier has finally rolled out the much awaited KitKat update for the smartphone. The Sprint LG G2 Android 4.4.2 update has started rolling out, Sprint has already posted the details about the upcoming update on its website. Version ZVB brings Android 4.4.2 KitKat as well as a few bug fixes.

If there was one thing we were surprised to find out about the LG G2 was its camera. LG phones haven’t exactly been known for their cameras (not that they’re bad, it’s just not a feature LG is known for), the LG G2’s camera proved to be pretty good. In fact its low-light performance was surprisingly decent, outshining phones like the iPhone.
Now the good news is that if you thought that the LG G2 camera could do with some improvement, you’re in luck because thanks to a camera mod, you won’t have to hope and wait for the LG G3 to bring those improvements that you have been asking for. (more…)

It has been a while since LG released the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for LG G2 owners in Korea, the update was released there back in December. AT&T users in the U.S. received said update last month. Users with the international LG G2 variant have been waiting for a long, long time and it has finally ended. We’re sure many have seen and heard by now that Ellen Degeneres’ Oscar selfie tweet has gone viral. We’re also sure that many have realized that the photo taken was done using a Samsung smartphone, and unsurprisingly so given that Samsung helped to sponsor the event.
While the photo is viral and unsurprisingly so given the number of celebrities in the photo, that and how popular selfies are these days, it wasn’t exactly a photo of the highest quality. In fact Nokia thought to make fun of Samsung, essentially calling the photo taken blur. Well it looks like Nokia is not alone in this as LG has decided to chime in as well with a tweet of their own. It may be one of 2013′s best flagship devices, but LG G2 owners have had to wait for quite some time in order to receive the Android 4.4.2 update. Earlier in the week said update for AT&T LG G2 was released, now its Magenta’s turn. Even though it hasn’t quite been pushed out over the air, subscribers can rejoice that the T-Mobile LG G2 Android 4.4.2 update is now officially out. It is available for direct download as well as through LG’s PC Suite.
