LG G2 Review: A Braindead Hercules

LG G2 Review: A Braindead Hercules

You could put a helicopter engine on a motorcycle and fill it with rocket fuel, but if you put a toddler behind the wheel, it’s not going anywhere. The same is true with phones; you can turbo-charge the processors and hardware, but if the software is stupid and terrible, you’ve got a stupid and terrible phone on your hands. This is that phone.

Nexus 5 photographed in a bar: LG G2 to the core

Appearing in the most classic of phone leak locations, the Nexus 5 appears to have popped up in a bar, complete with LG branding on its back. This device rings true as a device we’ve seen a couple of times before in early testing and/or Google public dogfooding. The specifications of this smartphone are as-yet […]

T-Mobile LG G2 Available Online Ahead Of Schedule

T Mobile LG G2 Available Online Ahead Of Schedule

T-Mobile had previously announced that it would begin selling the LG G2 online on September 18th. The carrier has decided to start selling LG’s newest flagship smartphone ahead of schedule. Starting today, customers will be able to pick up the device through the carrier’s website. AT&T started selling the device online a week ago whereas Verizon is already offering the LG G2 in-stores.

Since T-Mobile has shunned conventional service contracts, customers will be able to purchase the LG G2 for $99.99 upfront. However, they’ll have to make equal monthly installments of $21 for 24 months to pay the remaining cost of the device. Customers who don’t want to be caught up in this can put down $603.99 and walk away with a new LG G2. Even though T-Mobile starts selling the LG G2 today, customers will still have to wait until September 25th to pick it up from the carrier’s stores. The LG G2 has a 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quadcore processor, 13 megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, 3,000mAh battery and a 5.2 inch full HD 1080p display. Verizon Wireless is the first carrier to offer the LG G2 both online and in-stores from today. If you can’t make up your mind about purchasing this smartphone, our LG G2 review will certainly help make the decision easier.

LG G2 Available Now On Verizon Wireless

LG G2 Available Now On Verizon Wireless

Verizon Wireless is the first carrier in the U.S. to offer LG’s latest flagship smartphone in-stores. LG G2 is now available from Verizon’s online and retail stores across the country. Customers can purchase the smartphone for $199.99 with a two year contract. Those who don’t want to be tied down to a contract can go for the contract-free option, in that case the LG G2 from Verizon Wireless will cost $599.

LG’s latest smartphone is quite powerful, it touts a 2.2GHz quadcore Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, a 5.2 inch full 1080p HD IPS display, a 13 megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization as well as a 3,000mAh battery. The unique aspect of this smartphone is that it contains the main controls, volume and power/sleep, at the back. Controls are positioned under the camera. Other U.S. carriers are already accepting online sales, but the official in-store launch is yet to take place. AT&T launches the G2 in its stores tomorrow, whereas T-Mobile customers will be able to pick up the new flagship device on September 18th at the carrier’s stores. The LG G2 is undoubtedly one of the most talked about smartphones out there right now, if you want to see how it stacks up against the competition, do stop by our detailed LG G2 review.

LG Nexus 5 appears as Verizon LG G2 variant at FCC

There should be little doubt that Google is planning on continuing their Nexus smartphone program well into the future – that much is clear. What’s not as clear is their release schedule and manufacturer choices – the pattern we’ve expected to find appearing several years ago with a new OEM for each device being doused […]

LG Nexus 5 specifications take shape with renders aplenty

It’s not often that a device is so highly anticipated that more than one person creates a freestyle rendering of it before its even confirmed to exist – but that’s just what’s happened this week with the LG-made Nexus 5. This device has been tipped to be taking on the specifications of the LG G2 […]

Nexus 5 could be the LG D820, to sport Snapdragon 800, 5-inch display

As the dust of IFA slowly settles down, we turn our attention to something that passed us by rather quickly: the appearance of what is allegedly the Nexus 5. Keen observers noted in Google‘s Android 4.4 KitKat video what seems to be a Nexus smartphone featuring a rear design that has not yet been seen. […]

Verizon LG G2 Release Date Is September 12th

Both T-Mobile and AT&T have already revealed the dates on which they release the LG G2 smartphone. Verizon Wireless customers can rejoice before they’re be able to get their hands on the G2 before customers of both of these carriers. The Big Red has announced today that it is going to release LG G2 on September 12th. It will cost $199.99 coupled with a two year contract.

It was actually rumored last month that LG G2 launch on Verizon would take place on September 12th, that rumor has turned out to be true. Only a few days ago LG had announced that its new flagship Android smartphone was ready to be released in the U.S. Today three of the largest carriers in the U.S. have finally confirmed the release date for their customers. LG G2 is the Korean manufacturer’s latest flagship. It has a 5.2 inch full HD IPS display, a quadcore Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, 13 megapixel camera with optical image stabilization and a 3,000mAh battery. One unique thing about the G2 is that it has the volume and power buttons at the back. We’ve talked about this quirk in detail in our LG G2 review.
