Logitech’s UE Mini Boom Portable Speakers Unveiled

Logitechs UE Mini Boom Portable Speakers UnveiledPortable speakers don’t necessarily provide the best audio if you’re looking for an audiophile listening experience, but then again its portability is its selling point, although Logitech seems to have found a pretty decent balance with its Ultimate Ears lineup. If you’re in the market for new portable speakers with decent audio, Logitech has announced an upgrade to their UE Mobile Boombox in the form of the UE Mini Boom. It is essentially a smaller version of the Boombox but at the same time has been designed to withstand a certain amount of abuse, thanks to its metal frame and rubber housing, which would make it an ideal traveling companion to outdoor locations where it might be accidentally dropped or bumped around during transit.

The UE Mini Boom will pair with devices via Bluetooth with a range of up to 50 feet, and the ability to pair with multiple devices simultaneously through its companion app which will be compatible with iOS and Android devices. According to Logitech, they claim that the UE Mini Boom will be able to last up to 10 hours on a single charge, and will also sport NFC connectivity for devices that support it. The speakers are expected to be made available for purchase later this month for a price of $100.

Logitech Teases ‘Made For iPhone’ Game Controller

Logitech Teases ‘Made For iPhone’ Game ControllerRemember the GameCase for iOS devices that we talked about yesterday? Well, it was certainly quite an idea that is worth exploring, and with the official availability of the iPhone 5s in the US, you can be sure that the floodgates are now open for third party accessory manufacturers to introduce what they think your iPhone 5s cannot live without. Logitech figured out that with the snazzy 64-bit processor underneath the hood, you will most probably want to clock up your fair share of gaming time with it, which is why they decided to tease the masses via their Facebook page concerning a ‘Made for iPhone’ game controller.

It does seem as though Logitech’s offering will be somewhat similar to the GameCase, where it will come in the form of an external gaming “enclosure” type controller, holding the iPhone 5s within while introducing the presence of physical buttons and joysticks. Hmmm, again, we see another cycle happening – from doing away with buttons and the like to a pure touchscreen display experience, we start to have buttons and joysticks popping up all over the place again. It remains to be seen whether the upcoming Logitech device is going to stun the masses when it is finally unveiled. [Facebook Link]

Logitech’s IFA 2013 lineup includes tablet cases, mice and more, we go eyes-on

    Logitech

We’ve seen most of Logitech’s latest products by way of press shots, but the company was clearly waiting for IFA to trot out the real deals. We caught the peripheral maker as it was in the process of setting of its booth for the show and got a quick tour of what it’s working on. First up, the company’s giving a little folio love to Android tablet owners, releasing a keyboard case for the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 and protective cases for the 10.1, 8.0 and 7.0. We also got a chance to check out that beefy G602 wireless gaming mouse, which’ll give you around 250 hours of gaming on a charge. Speaking of mice, the Ultrathin Touch Mouse is a pretty nice looking peripheral — one that pairs pretty nicely with its TK820 keyboard. Logitech Ultrathin Touch Mouse ups the design ante for computer peripherals

logitech-ultrathin-mouseAre all computer peripherals created equal? The easy answer would be a resounding “No!”, although you would find that along the way, you would have experienced that many of the gizmos that you use are pretty much ordinary in their performance, with nothing that really stands out from the rest of the crowd. Logitech might churn out decent, everyday and workmanlike mice and keyboards in the past, but from time to time, they too, have indulged us with some high end performance peripherals. This time around, the Logitech Ultrathin Touch Mouse intends to bridge the gap between style and performance, as it delivers an ideal design and functionality for those who tend to work on the move.

The Logitech Ultrathin Touch Mouse can be certified to be Logitech’s first ultra-portable touch mouse, boasting a slim design that will perfectly complement today’s computers, sporting sleek lines and a brushed aluminum body. Ordinary notebook users might think of it as just another nice mouse to look at, but MacBook and Ultrabook users might just see it otherwise, where this ultra-portable mouse would definitely complement the design found on today’s MacBook and Ultrabook machines.

Thanks to its form factor, the Logitech Ultrathin Touch Mouse can easily slip into any computer sleeve or pocket, boasting a silky-smooth touch surface that has been created thanks to an invisible coating which will help you simplify Windows 8 navigation, or simply allowing you to take full advantage of the Multi-Touch navigation in OS X. Making use of Bluetooth with Logitech Easy-Switch Technology, the Logitech Ultrathin Touch Mouse is capable of hooking up sans wires to your laptop, desktop and tablet – simultaneously, and you can switch among them in a jiffy with but a flip of a switch. The mouse itself can be juiced up via USB, and for those emergency moments, a single minute of charge time delivers you enough power to keep working for another hour (a typical user experience applies here, of course). The Logitech Ultrathin Touch Mouse will arrive in black or white shades, bearing the respective model numbers of T630 and T631, and will retail for $69.99 a pop.
