Do take this bit of news with a pinch of salt, as nothing official has been released just yet concerning the Nokia Lumia 630. Sure, we have seen the Nokia Lumia 630 product sheet leaked yesterday which dropped a hint concerning a 4.5” display, but here are more details that touches on the rest of the hardware specifications. Also known as the Nokia “Moneypenny”, the Nokia Lumia 630’s most recent round of leaked information hails from an anonymous (this is expected) user on the Chinese Baidu forum. The forum post also pointed to a slew of new images of the Nokia Lumia 630, as well as comparing it to the existing Nokia Lumia 620 model that is in the market.

The Nokia Lumia 620, a smartphone which was announced nearly two years ago, is not quite forgotten just yet. In fact, we are more than pleased to announce that the Nokia Lumia 620 too, will be on the receiving end of the Lumia Black update. This particular update has been introduced on other smartphones which run on the Windows Phone 8 operating system since January this year, with the Nokia Lumia 720 being the latest model to hop aboard the Lumia Black bandwagon just a month back. So far, initial reports from folks living in Finland and the Netherlands do point to the Nokia Lumia 620 being on the receiving end of the WP8 GDR3 + Lumia Black combination update, where it is the last handset to receive it. Still, better late than never.

The worlds of fashion and tech have definitely overlapped one another from time to time, and at the London Fashion Week, it was extremely interesting to note that a fair number of high tech garments as well as accessories have captured the imagination of the masses, and hopefully in due time, their wallets as well. A three month long project by Nokia, fashion designer Fyodor Golan as well as creative design house Kin has resulted in a Lumia skirt which comprises of the Nokia Lumia 1520 and Lumia 1020 handsets. Nokia, the Finnish smartphone manufacturer who once looked as though they could not put a foot wrong in their utter dominance of the mobile phone world, has fallen to such depths that were previously unimaginable – until Microsoft came along to pick up the mobile segment of the company, where it has gained quite a respectable market share over the past couple of years with the Windows Phone platform. Of course, Windows Phone 8 is still far away from usurping iOS and Android as the mobile operating platforms of choice, but it is growing. Nokia’s latest entry to the smartphone market comes in the form of the Nokia Lumia Icon, where it will be a Verizon Wireless exclusive in the United States.
This latest Lumia was specially constructed for those who want more from their handsets and yet do not want to compromise when it comes to just how the smartphone is used to capture all of the special moments in one’s daily life. The Full HD display, at 5” and 441ppi pixel density, is certainly a sight to behold, while the thin and light frame which is made out of aluminum and accompanied by ceramic keys are also easy on the hands and pleasing to the eye. The Nokia Lumia Icon would tip the scales at just 5.8 oz, where it measures 5.39” x 2.79” x 0.39”.
At the back, you will find a crystal-clear 20-megapixel camera that will draw its inspiration from Nokia’s award-winning PureView technology and Zeiss optics. If you are an avid fan of video recording, then you would not have any problem at all with the Nokia Lumia Icon, since it also boasts of four lossless microphones which are able to capture omnidirectional audio in full stereo, ensuring your viewers will think as though they are there in the scene.
Expect the Nokia Lumia Icon to go on sale this February 20th for $199.99 a pop with a two-year contract on Verizon.

We have seen how the Verizon exclusive Nokia Lumia Icon was announced earlier this morning, where it will make its way to interested parties later this February 20th. However, Nokia is not a one trick pony, and it seems that @Nextleaks has rumors which point to additional smartphones from the Lumia range that will arrive soon – and they would include the Nokia Lumia 930, Nokia Lumia 630, and Nokia Lumia 635 smartphones. All of these handsets should, barring any unforeseen circumstances, be announced officially at Mobile World Congress that kicks off on February 24th in Barcelona, Spain.
