Panasonic is releasing new model “DMC-GF6″ in its LUMIX series on April 24. It features a 1.6 million pixel Live MOS sensor and LUMIX’s unique image processing engine “Venus Engine” that improves resolution, so you can take a high-quality photo/movie in a dark area.

NFC and Wi-Fi is built in.

3 models will be out on April 24 with 3 different colors (white, black, red):
DMC-GF6 – Camera only
DMC-GF6X – Camera with electric-powered zoom lens
DMC-GF6W – Camera with standard/tele lens

LCD touch panel has adjustable angle; 180-degree to upper direction and 45-degree to down direction. It takes only 0.5 seconds to be able to shoot after turning the camera on, so you can release the shutter right after you find an object you want to take a picture of. Speed of continuous shooting is 4.2 times per second.

It has an improved version of the “Omakase iA” feature that helps the user choose the best shooting mode depending on the target object and it has added a food recognition function to make pictures of dishes look delicious.

There are several other functions to enable you to enhance photos, including 19 different kinds of filter functions.

Panasonic’s micro four-thirds Lumix DMC-GF6 is finally official after a leaky start, and the news is good for social types with high photo standards. The mirrorless cam’s standout feature is without a doubt its connectivity, letting you pair it to a smartphone or tablet via NFC, then transfer photos and video automatically over WiFi with an included app — which can also remotely control the camera. The GF6 also sports an updated 1040k-dot screen that can tilt and flip 180 degrees for self-portraits, along with a new mode dial from it’s GF5 predecessor, a welcome change for more serious shooters. Other highlights include 1080/60i full-HD AVCHD video, a 25,600 ISO range, JPEG and RAW shooting, built-in flash, a new Venus Engine image processor, 3.7 fps burst shooting, low-light autofocus and a 0.5-second start-up time. You’ll be able to grab one in black, white, brown or red, and while Panasonic hasn’t officially announced a price or arrival date, it’s expected to hit shelves in the next month or so for around £449 with a 14-42mm kit lens ($680). Panasonic may not have dedicated much time to its 2013 Lumix and WiFi camcorder lineup in its CES 2013 press conference, but we’re going to break it down for you.

• The HC-X920, HC-V720 and HC-V520 comes with built-in Wifi, a level shot function and real-time broadcasting, letting you relay the images straight to a smartphone.
• The HC-V210 and V210M have 72x optical zoom, optical image stabilization and a F/1.8 lens.

On the Lumix side, it’s announcing the Lumix DMC-TS5, a ruggedized model with a 16.1 megapixel sensor that can dive to depths of 43 feet and is shockproof from a height of 6.6 feet.

• The LZ30 bridge camera has a 35x optical zoom and a 35mm lens
• The XS1 has a 14mm thick body and a 14.-4 megapixel sensor.
• The ZS30 has an 18.1-megapixel sensor, 20x optical Zoom and integrated WiFi and NFC.

The company is also shuttling out a GoPro rival in the form of the HX-A100 wearable HD camcorder, which we’ll try to get our greasy mitts upon to show you more.
