Thor’s Hammer Charger Summons the Power for Your Smartphone

If you’re a fan of the mythical Thor or the Marvel superhero Thor, we’ve got something new and interesting that you will really appreciate. A new Thor-themed battery charger has debuted that takes the form of Thor’s hammer Mjölnir. The battery designed to recharge electronic devices is hidden in the head of the hammer.

The hammer looks very much like the one that Thor wields in the new movie in theaters right now. The battery charger measures 5.1″ x 3.1″ x 2″ and weighs up to one pound depending on capacity. It has a full-size USB port and a micro-USB port that can provide 2.1A of power. The hammer also has integrated LED lights and a speaker offering sound effects when you swing it.

You can purchase the battery charger with three different battery capacities stuffed inside the hammerhead. The smallest is a 2600 mAh battery with a middleweight version packing 5200 mAh of power. The biggest battery has 10,400 mAh of juice. The biggest battery needs 10 full hours to recharge. Sadly, it’s currently only available in Asia at this point.

This would look great along with your Thor bookends

Geeky Paper Quilling Sculptures: Rock, Paper, Scissors, Vader

You may or may not be familiar with the art form called quilling. Quilling is created using strips of paper rolled up or curved to create images. An artist named Alia Syed has taken the art of quilling to a very geeky next level. Syed has used quilling to create art in the form of Marvel and Star Wars characters.

If you look at the artworks up close you’ll see strips of paper and rolled up pieces that work in conjunction to create very cool and detailed pieces of art. Among the creations are Darth Vader, Boba Fett and a stormtrooper.

There also Batman and Iron Man artworks as well as the Decepticon and Autobot logos and Master Chief’s helmet from Halo. I wonder how long it took to do each of these paper sculptures – it looks like it must have taken a lot of work.

If you’re interested in owning one of these for your own wall, head on over to Alia’s Etsy shop. Each one sells for $200(USD).

X-MEN: Days of Future Past full trailer sends Wolverine back

Marvel Loki Hoodie: Trick or Trick

Thanks to Tom Hiddleston’s crisp portrayal, Marvel’s Loki has quickly a popular character, a beneficiary of the world’s bizarre fascination with anti-heroes and villains. Like the Joker, Darth Vader and the other bad guys we love, the god of lies and mischief has a memorable and awesome costume.

Now you can adorn yourself in his image and show the world where your values lie with Mad Engine’s officially licensed hoodie .

Captain America: The Winter Soldier trailer sets fire to the future

The first full-length trailer for Captain America 2 has been released, and inside you’ll find no shares of the past. Spider-Man Motorcycle Helmet: with Great Power Comes Great Responsibility for Safety

If you’re a Spider-Man fan, then chances are that your Spidey senses are already tingling and your wallet already open now that you’ve seen this sweet helmet. This Spider-Man helmet is painted up super nice to look exactly like our favorite web-slinger. Doesn’t it look amazing?
    spiderman helmetmagnify

It comes in the traditional red style and the villainous black version. So how much does it cost to zip down the road looking like Spidey? It sells for $525 to to $825(USD) depending on the helmet, from airgraffix, who sells all sorts of cool custom helmets. Sure, it’s an expensive helmet, but it’s not like Spidey spent that much on his costume to begin with.

As Stan Lee might say, “Remember kids, only a web-head rides a bike without a helmet.” So it might as well be the coolest helmet you can buy.
