Sushi is at its most delicious when it’s simple. Obviously years of training is required to become a master sushi chef and details matter immensely but you can boil down the essence of sushi to rice and fish. Yum, however you slice it. But could you make sushi even simpler? One sushi chef did. He used a single grain of rice to create flavor packed nibbles.
BMW has just outed its new MINI Hardtop models ahead of the LA Auto Show, but the cars are first dropping by the Tokyo Motor Show 2013. There, we were able to get a first-hand look at the new MINI Cooper S, which sports a bright yellow and black color scheme, highly modernized controls, and […]
A new version of the venerable MINI Cooper that has been around for decades will be unveiled this week at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The new Mini is getting both larger and smaller at the same time. The vehicle will grow physically larger while getting a smaller engine to help improve fuel economy.
MINI has extended the length of its new car by almost 4 inches. Mini promises that the extra length will be used throughout the cabin, increasing both passenger and cargo space. That extra space will definitely add to the leg room inside what is traditionally a very cramped car. While the car gets longer, it’s standard engine is getting smaller. The MINI hard top will be getting a new three-cylinder engine to improve fuel economy.
The three-cylinder engine will be a 1.4-liter unit producing 134 hp using a turbocharger. It will be paired with a standard six-speed manual transmission and an optional six-speed automatic. The three-cylinder engine will be able to push the car to 60 mph in 7.4 seconds. Drivers wanting more power will be able to opt for the Cooper S using a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 192 hp. MINI will also offer a 116hp diesel model, the Mini Cooper D, which is designed specifically for fuel economy.
You can check out more details on the various other new features and model variants on the BMW/MINI press site.
The new MINI Hardtop has been revealed, complete with its sporty Cooper variants, ahead of the BMW city car’s official debut at the LA Auto Show next week, complete with all-new engines and a design that’s bigger in all directions. The car is now longer, wider, and taller, with an extended wheelbase that adds up […]

Check out two new wood cases from Grove, which will perfectly fit your new iPads when they release this November.
The Grove Wood Smart Case is available for both the iPad Air and iPad Mini. It’s handcrafted from lightweight bamboo and sturdy maple. It will work as a smart cover and a stand. It’s definitely an interesting combination, which will set your tablets apart from others. You’ll have access to all the ports when your tablet is protected by this case.
The Grove Wood Smart Case is available for iPad Mini and iPad Mini Retina for $79 (USD), and you’ll have to pay $99 for the iPad Air version.
Train enthusiasts who want something larger than a Lionel train set, but not so large that you have to buy real estate to lay down your track may want to consider this awesome ridable train set. With this cool toy, you can go for a ride anytime you want and even make some money on the side offering kids some awesome choo-choo rides. It should pay for its $23,000 tab in no time.
This train is based on the classic narrow-gauge 2-6-0 Baldwin Mogul from the late 19th century and is powered by four 250-watt, 24-volt DC motors. That will give you enough power to generate enough power to haul up to 1,600 lbs. at a 3% grade.
As for the actual railroad, you get 228′ of 7 1/2″-gauge track, enough to create a 60′ x 80′ oval. It even has an integrated 50-watt sound system for realistic train sounds. All aboard!

Is this not the cutest little AT-AT you’ve ever seen? Why, this little guy would never march forward to the Imperial March theme and lay waste to Rebel forces. He just wouldn’t have it in him. All of the other AT-ATs talk about trampling the rebel scum, but this guy just wants to have peace and smell some flowers. Maybe make friends with a Tauntaun or two.
He is an outcast. He’s just not like the rest. And that makes him sad. Now you see why he has his head down. This adorable AT-AT comes from Etsy artist famished and is about 5″ long and 6″ high.
He would look good sitting on your desk or shelf. I mean, he’s gonna look sad no matter what I guess, but he is cute and will look good with your other collectibles and toys. You can grab him up for $85(USD). The seller has only made two in this style so when they are gone, that’s it.
All of the other AT-ATs (and General Veers) used to last and call him names. They wouldn’t let poor felty join in any AT-AT games.
