Moto X’s Successor To Arrive Late Summer

Moto Xs Successor To Arrive Late SummerWhen the Moto X was first launched, many praised it for its innovative features along with the fact that it would be a highly customizable device. That being said, the Moto X did not pack the most powerful hardware which was a little odd given that the handset could be considered a flagship device for Motorola.

We’re also sure many are wondering what will happen to the Moto X series in the future once Lenovo completes their acquisition of the company. Well the good news is that Moto X fans will be pleased to learn that there will be at least one more Moto X that will see a release this year, but beyond that we cannot be sure. (more…)

Motorola’s Smartwatch Will Be Arriving Later This Year

Motorolas Smartwatch Will Be Arriving Later This YearIn 2014, it is safe to say that we can look forward to more wearable devices hitting the market. In fact we’ve already seen Samsung release a trio of wearable devices in the form of the Galaxy Gear 2, Galaxy Gear Neo, and the Galaxy Gear Fit. That being said, we’re sure Motorola doesn’t want to be left out of the picture, considering that they hit the market pretty early with the MOTOACTV a couple of years ago.

Well fret not Motorola fans because according to a recent tweet by Motorola’s Rick Osterloh, it seems that Motorola will be launching their own smartwatch that will be available later this year, although we’re not sure if by then Motorola will be under Lenovo’s banner or if they will still be part of Google as the deal has not been closed yet(more…)

Motorola was in fact one of the first firms to attempt a smartwatch. Way back in the balmy days of 2011, Motorola released the Motoactiv GPS and fitness… Read More

Motorola Working On Something Called The Quark XWith Lenovo expected to buy Motorola Mobility from Google, we’re sure many are wondering what will be the fate of Motorola’s released devices while under Google. Your Phone Breaks Because It Would Rather Be Thin Than Strong

It’s actually not the choice of materials alone that makes a handset more or less prone to damage — screen breakage in particular. It’s the structural design in general. It’s what’s beneath that candy-colored shell that really counts.

Moto X Deal Gets Extended Till February 22nd

Moto X Deal Gets Extended Till February 22nd

First launched back in August 2013, the Moto X was Motorola’s first flagship smartphone under Google’s banner. The smartphone was very well received, given that it offered impressive specifications at a reasonable price. Over the holiday season, Motorola launched a Moto X deal that cut the price of the off contract variant significantly. Due to consumer interest, Motorola then offered the same deal a fortnight later. Late last month another Moto X deal was offered, with the company slashing $70 off the off contract variant. Motorola has now confirmed that said deal has been extended till February 22nd.

LG Not Worried About Lenovo’s Acquisition Of Motorola

LG Not Worried About Lenovos Acquisition Of MotorolaAs we’re sure many of you guys have heard by now that Lenovo will be acquiring Motorola Mobility from Google. While Lenovo might not necessarily be a company known for smartphones (more for their computers), they have managed to take acquisitions and successfully turn them into a moneymaker, like what they did with IBM’s ThinkPad lineup of laptops. That being said, will they be able to do the same with Motorola? And more importantly, how do other Android OEMs feel about it? Well it seems that at least one Android OEM doesn’t seem too bothered and it is none other than South Korean tech company, LG.

When asked if LG might be worried with Lenovo acquiring Motorola, Kim Jong Hoon, head of product at LG, was quoted as saying, “There are many talks over Lenovo and Motorola in the media right now and how it affects LG, but internally, we aren’t discussing much about it.” Given that Motorola hasn’t really put many handsets out there lately, save for the Moto X and Moto G, we guess LG is feeling pretty confident. After all the company’s LG G2 from 2013 was considered something of a hit, and the company recently announced its latest handset, the LG G Pro 2, but what do you guys think? Will this Lenovo-Motorola deal be something Android OEMs should be worried about?
