@evleaks has just introduced yet another spy shot for those who are interested in what the upcoming range of smartphones from Samsung would deliver – the Tizen-powered SM-Z9005 in this case, where it has also been given the nickname Redwood. Will it be as large as the giant trees found in California in terms of its stature among smartphone users in due time? That we cannot tell, so we will just let the future pan itself out.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 has been rumored to be announced in the near future. In fact last we heard, the rumors claim that it might even be announced ahead of MWC which we guess is a good move as Samsung will be able to bask in the spotlight for a couple of days before the flood of MWC related news hits the internet. In any case while the jury is still out on when the phone will be announced and launched, a certain Samsung SM-G900H has been spotted and certified in Indonesia, which many are speculating to be the Samsung Galaxy S5.

This is because other possible Galaxy S5 variants have made their way to other parts of the world, such as AT&T’s version which is the SM-G900A, the SM-G900F, and the SM-G900S, suggesting that these are pretty much all the same phones but destined for different markets and/or carriers. If this truly is the case, it looks like Samsung is wasting no time in getting the handset ready for launch in multiple markets, possibly at the same time. The Galaxy S5 is probably one of the most highly anticipated handsets of 2014, at least for the early part of the year since the iPhone 6 and Galaxy Note 4 announcements usually take place in the second half of the year. Will Samsung be able to outdo themselves this year? We guess we will just have to wait and find out, so be sure to check back with us at a later date to see if there are more details to be had!

So we’re pretty sure you guys have heard about the upcoming Nokia Normandy by now. For those who haven’t, it is an Android device made by Nokia that will supposedly make its debut at MWC 2014. Now based on what we have heard so far, the Normandy might not necessarily be the most powerful Android phone at the moment, with a dual-core 1GHz processor and a 4-inch display, but according to a series of tweets by the ever reliable @evleaks, it has been revealed that the Normandy might have undergone some hardware improvements ahead of its launch at MWC 2014. Back in 2013, Lenovo had a smartphone called the Lenovo Vibe Z which was the Chinese company’s first LTE-enabled smartphone. However it looks like Lenovo will not be resting on its laurels as thanks to a benchmark sighting of a certain Lenovo K7t, it seems that Lenovo will be looking to compete with the best of the best with a 2K smartphone of its down. Thanks to the benchmark, it has been revealed that the Lenovo K7t will sport a 2560×1440 display which appears to be the upcoming standard of high-end smartphones for 2014. Vivo has done it with the Xplay 3S, Oppo with the Find 7, and there have been rumors that Samsung could be looking to do the same thing with the Galaxy S5 as well.

Other hardware specifications that was revealed in the benchmark suggested that the Lenovo K7t could be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.26GHz, 3GB of RAM, a 16GB of onboard storage (was not mentioned if it could be expanded via microSD), a 5MP front-facing camera, a 13MP front-facing camera, and appears to run on Android 4.4.1 KitKat, although hopefully it might be upgraded to Android 4.4.2 KitKat upon its release. No telling when Lenovo might announce such a device, but if we had to guess, MWC 2014 would be a safe bet. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but do check back with us then for the details.
