Naughty Dog Says “We’ll See” For The Last Of Us Coming To The PS4

Naughty Dog Says Well See For The Last Of Us Coming To The PS4We’re sure some gamers might have been somewhat bummed when back in October, Naughty Dog community strategist, Eric Monacelli stated that the developer had no plans to bring The Last of Us to the new Sony PlayStation 4. Given the graphics of the game, we can only imagine the spectacular visuals that it would have if Naughty Dog were to bring it over to the PS4, but fret not gamers because not all hope is lost. In response to a question asked by a fan as to whether the company would bring the game onto the PS4, Naughty Dog’s latest response on the official PlayStation Blog revealed a somewhat optimistic “We’ll see,” which is admittedly a lot better than saying no outright.

According to Monacelli, “We’re just getting our Naughty Dog engine up and running on PS4 as we work on the next Uncharted project. We will see what the future brings! Naughty Dog Says Well See For The Last Of Us Coming To The PS4The Last of Us launched on the PS3 earlier this year in June after an initial delay with critical acclaim, with some voting the game as PS3 game of the year, and with the game having managed to ship about 3.4 million units to date, so we can only imagine those numbers climbing if they were to bring it onto the PS4 where gamers who did not have the PS3 might get it to see what all the fuss is about. In fact it wasn’t too long ago that Sony had registered a domain for a The Last of Us movie, although whether this was done just to protect the franchise or if a movie is in the works remains to be seen.

The Last of Us 30-Second TV Ad Highlights Game’s Story, Action

We think by now we’ve come to terms with Naughty Dog delaying The Last of Us, especially when they continually release new content on a regular basis. The delay only pushes the game back a little over a month, which is way better than having to wait several months. The latest video for The Last of Us is its 30-second TV spot, which was first aired during last night’s season finale of The Walking Dead, which means Sony most likely dropped a ton of cash to air it.

The TV Spot shows a nice mix between highlighting the story in The Last of Us, while also showing some action against those nasty spore-infected people. It felt like the perfect TV ad to air during The Walking Dead, considering those who don’t know the game’s story will most likely believe it’s zombies you’ll be fighting in The Last of Us. Oh, those silly, zombie-loving The Walking Dead fans. They’ll believe anything is a zombie if it shuffles around, lunging at people at every chance they have while often screaming “Brains!”

The Last Of Us Demo Coming May 31

The Last Of Us Demo Coming May 31

Now that The Last of Us’ release date has been pushed back to June 14, the demo Sony promised would be available early to God of War: Ascension owners is needed now more than ever. God of War: Ascension has officially been released today, and we’re sure a good majority of you are wondering when you could access the demo for The Last of Us.

Naughty Dog revealed the date when the demo for The Last of Us will be accessible to God of War: Ascension owners, which will be made available on May 31. This should give you a two weeks to spend with the demo before the game’s actual release.

As for the rest of you who own a PlayStation 3 and could care less about Kratos and his adventures, neither Naughty Dog nor Sony announced when the demo would be released on the PlayStation Network, but seeing how the God of War: Ascension early-access demo will be available two weeks before the game’s release, we’re sure Sony is planning either a week prior or week of release for the demo.

The Last of Us Release Date Delayed Until June 18

The Last of Us Release Date Delayed Until June 18

Fans of Naughty Dog’s upcoming game The Last of Us were no doubt anticipating the game’s release on May 7, but it seems like you’ll have to wait a bit longer as Sony quietly pushed the game’s release date.

The good news is the delay will not be that bad as it’s being delayed by a little over a month to June 18, which BestBuy has confirmed to their pre-order holders. Since Sony has yet to make the news official, there’s no information at this time as to what exactly is the reasoning behind the delay. (more…)
