HTC Could Deliver Nexus 8 (Rumor)

HTC Could Deliver Nexus 8 (Rumor)It does seem that the upcoming Nexus 8 will not see Asus as the manufacturer, but rather, there are whispers going around touting that beleaguered firm HTC will be the one behind the Nexus 8. According to DigiTimes, “upstream supply chain” sources have begun to see evidence of HTC working on the Nexus 8. The Nexus 8 is widely believed to be an 8.9-inch tablet which has been bandied about before, and it also appears as though Google had plans for HTC to come up with the original Nexus 7 prior to contacting Asus, but HTC did not have the time to dedicate to such an endeavor.

Who would have thought that HTC’s share price would have plummeted so in the months since then? Perhaps that was not the brightest of choices made by the Taiwanese company. There were a couple of Nexus 7 tablets that rolled out in the summer right after the Google I/O conference, and it seems that the upcoming Nexus 8, too, will follow in such a similar direction.

In fact, the very same supply chain sources that were mentioned earlier claimed that Google is targeting a Q3 release for the Nexus 8. Are you excited at what the Nexus 8 will offer, and will it come with an Intel processor? Only time will reveal all.

Future Google Nexus Smartphone Might Have MediaTek Solution Powering It

Future Google Nexus Smartphone Might Have MediaTek Solution Powering ItThere is a new rumor that has made its way out from China, touting that Internet search giant Google will select MediaTek as their chipset supplier for their upcoming Nexus smartphone model. It might be nothing but hot air, really, considering how just about everyone else makes use of Qualcomm processors in this day and age, it would be a real surprise if Google were to make use of MediaTek’s achievements in this department.

After all, we did hear about MediaTek working on their very own hexa-core chipset that they call their own earlier this February, not to mention the MT6732 processor that targets the mid-range market, also heard of in February this year. It must be noted that MediaTek themselves are an up-and-coming mobile chipset manufacturer, so it would make perfect sense for Google to consider them at one point or another. Perhaps, if this were to be true, that Google too, could eventually wield their power of persuasion over the company to release sources for its chips in order for additional custom ROM developments to happen on MTK-based devices.

MediaTek has somewhat gained a reputation for churning out affordable chipsets in the past, so does this mean that we can also expect the next generation Nexus device to be easy on your bank account as well without compromising on performance?

Nexus Wall Charger On Google Play Store

Nexus Wall Charger On Google Play StoreIt is nice to see good things arrive to those who wait, and Google, whose claim to fame happens to be in the search engine department, can be said to have improved by a whole lot when it comes to offering accessories for its Nexus hardware range, at least over in the Google Play Store. Of course, from time to time, there seems to be a delay or so in rolling out those accessories as opposed to the actual devices themselves, but I would suppose that the number of accessories are being built up even as you read this. As for the most recent addition to the Nexus ecosystem in the Play Store, it happens to be an official wall charger.
