We have seen purported press renders as well as leaked images of the Nokia Lumia 1520 in recent memory, but enough about photos already. What would be more interesting would be the “meat” of the issue, which would mean the hardware specifications that might be a whole lot more interesting that just some pretty photos shot on the sly. Well, while we already know a fair amount about the Nokia Lumia 1520 such as a 6” display, a Qualcomm 800 CPU, and a 20-megapixel PureView camera, so here are additional details that will help complete the list.
It seems as though the Nokia Lumia 1520 will come with 4G LTE connectivity to keep up with the times, a 2GHz MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 CPU with Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB RAM, a choice of 32GB or 64GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot just in case all that memory is not enough, a beefy 3,400mAH battery, and wireless charging capability, all crammed into a body that measures 152mm x 81mm x 8.7mm, where it would tip the scales at 160 grams.
The Nokia Lumia 1520 will be announced this coming October 22nd in Abu Dhabi during the Nokia World press event, where a global shipment should happen sometime in December this year, although folks who are rocking to AT&T should be able to get it on an exclusive basis sometime in the second week of November.

Nokia’s will-they-won’t-they relationship with the tablet form factor looks to finally be coming to an end, with the Finnish company getting a big old “THEY WILL” badge, if news of the Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet is to be believed.

There has been no shortage of rumors about Nokia’s upcoming tablet, presumably called the Lumia 2520. The latest rumor suggests that Verizon will launch the tablet in the third week of November and will offer it for $499. Since Big Red is going to offer it, the tablet is going to have a LTE radio that will make it compatible with Verizon’s 4G network. AT&T is rumored to carry a LTE compatible variant of the Lumia 2520 as well, it is expected to launch its model in early November. An exact date for both carriers is not available at this point in time.
As per the various rumors we’ve heard about the Nokia Lumia 2520 up till now, the tablet is likely to have a quadcore Qualcomm 8974 processor, a 6.7 megapixel rear camera with Carl Zeiss optics, Windows RT and a 1,920×1,080 10.1 inch IPS display. The tablet is expected to be available in a variety of colors, black, white, cyan and red will apparently be on offer. Nokia’s tablet will be a welcome addition to the Windows tablet lineup, given the fact that it is expected to come with LTE compatibility out of the box. Microsoft’s new tablets, Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2, don’t have the capability right now. LTE SKUs of the new Surface tablets are expected to be released next year. Nokia is rumored to make the Lumia 2520 announcement at Nokia World 2013 in Abu Dhabi, on October 22nd.

Nokia has long been rumored to be working on a tablet of its own. Who knows, perhaps the Finnish manufacturer might just announce one later this month. Rumors about a Nokia tablet escalated a few months ago and since then there has been a renewed interested in this topic. Speculation has risen quite a lot and there have been a number of leaks about the specifications as well as the design. We’ve previously seen a purported press render of the tablet, said to be called the Lumia 2520, but the new one really shows it off in all its glory.
Despite all the rumors, Nokia still hasn’t confirmed if it is intending on launching a new tablet soon. However, the company has an event scheduled on October 22nd in Abu Dhabi, where it is expected to announce as many as six new devices, the Lumia 2520 is said to be one of the devices that is going to be unveiled in Abu Dhabi. The leaked press render comes from the infamous @evleaks, who has leaked details about a number of Nokia products and particularly the tablet in the past. No word as yet when this tablet will actually be released in the market after its supposed unveiling on October 22nd.

Its no secret that demand for dual SIM smartphones exists in certain markets, demand can particularly be witnessed in emerging markets. Barring Apple, a number of major manufacturers have released a dual SIM variant of their flagship smartphones. Such variants might not gain traction in the West, that’s why they’re almost never released there. As per a latest rumor, both Nokia and HTC are working on dual SIM Windows Phone devices, though it hasn’t been confirmed exactly when these devices will be coming out and which markets they will be available in.
At this point in time no additional information is available about this dual SIM Windows Phone smartphones. Their monikers, specifications and features are not known, so obviously there’s no information about price and availability. Nokia isn’t expected to make an announcement any time soon, rumor has it that its dual SIM Windows Phone devices won’t come before the end of this year. HTC might take even longer, pushing the release of its devices in 2014. These devices are said to be dual SIM, dual standby which basically means that both SIM cards are on standby when neither is being used. However when one SIM card starts being used, the other one automatically becomes inactive.
