MSI GP Series of notebooks unveiled

MSI-GP60-Photo_01+WallpaperOnce in a while , there is a new range of notebooks that intend to straddle the lines between mobile productivity as well as gaming. The thing is, battery technology has not advanced to such a state where it is possible to gain a whole lot of gaming time while having the highest performance possible. Well, MSI has made an attempt at doing so with the new GP series of notebooks that are touted to deliver exceptional on-the-go performance, as it carries the Intel Core i5 processor, an NVIDIA graphics chipset as well as a SteelSeries gaming keyboard, with prices starting from $899.99 onward.

The GP Series is made up of a single 17-inch and a couple of 16-inch models, where they will arrive equipped with either an Intel Core i7 or Core i5 processors, an NVIDIA GeForce GT740M graphics chipset as well as 8GB DDR3 RAM. Such hardware specifications ought to offer more than adequate juice to work around any tasks. Not only that, it will also merge Sound Blaster Cinema, Matrix Display and Audio Boost technology using gold-flashed audio jacks in order to deliver crystal clear surround sound, with the additional ability to hook up to another two more monitors, while maximizing audio quality for a more immersive experience.

Not only that, there is also the SteelSeries keyboard that will make an appearance here, up to a 1TB hard drive, Giga LAN network and multiple USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 connectivity. Do you think that such hardware specifications would be able to satisfy the hardcore gamer who is always on the move, and yet want to get a spot of gaming in once in a while? I guess that really depends on the situation, and hopefully the gaming performance that the MSI GP Series delivers will be good enough for the more demanding ones out there.
