Samsung NX2000 Mirrorless Camera Sighted In FCC Filing

Samsung NX2000 Mirrorless Camera Sighted In FCC Filing

For the past couple of days an alleged picture of the Samsung NX2000 camera has been floating around. It is said to be a mirrorless camera that runs on Tizen OS.   Samsung recently released the NX1100 which too is a mirrorless camera and has a 3-inch LCD, 1080p HD video recording, Smart Auto 2.0 and a lot more. The NX2000 is reportedly an iteration belonging to this particular line of cameras from Samsung, and it seems much more plausible now since it has been sighted in FCC filings.

Documents submitted in the FCC filing indicate that the NX2000 has a touchscreen and hardware home key at the back, a 20.3 megapixel CMOS sensor and 802.11n Wi-Fi. Previously there have been rumors that this camera will actually have an Android based interface. Nothing has obviously been confirmed as of now, the release depends upon how long it takes the FCC to approve it. The latest offering from Samsung’s mirrorless camera line is the NX1100, which is being labeled as evolutionary rather than revolutionary. Perhaps the NX2000 will be able to shake things up a little?

Samsung NX1100 Smart Camera

Samsung is extremely well known for churning out a wide range of consumer electronics devices, and their Smart TVs have really taken center stage for quite some time already, and so have their collection of smartphones, especially with the Samsung Galaxy S3 that has proven to be quite a tough competitor against the likes of the Apple iPhone. What about the digital camera market? Well, they do have some decent offerings, but right now, if you are going to pick up a dedicated digital camera, the name Samsung is not going to be at the top of your list, although they have tried pretty well in the past. Their latest offering would be the Samsung NX1100 Smart camera that is said to blend professional image quality alongside instant photo sharing and editing.

Just what does the Samsung NX1100 Smart camera offer right out of the box? For starters, it will boast of a 20.3-megapixel CMOS sensor that will offer with it fast shutter speeds of up to 1/4000 seconds, allowing the NX1100 to capture premium photos and videos which have been rated to be on par with those found in Samsung’s NX Series. The Samsung NX1100 will bring with it a large, bright 3.0-inch LCD display for you to compose images, 1080p HD video capture, as well as technologies such as Smart Auto 2.0, which would enable even a novice photographer to snap photos like an expert.

Not only that, if you want to share memories with the Samsung NX1100, then it is a snap to do so, where a single touch of a button would allow the user to connect over a Wi-Fi network, where this is made possible courtesy of a dedicated Smart Link Hot Key that is located on the top of the camera. Pressing that button lets you share photos instantly and securely between the camera and a mobile device, or you can also opt to do so directly to social media sites like Facebook and YouTube.

To ensure that you get the most bang out of your hard-earned buck, the Samsung NX1100 will also be bundled with Lightroom 4, which already carries a $149 value and easily upgradeable with a release of each future version. How much will the Samsung NX1100 cost if you are interested in picking one up? $599.99 should be about right, where it comes in white and black shades.

Samsung NX1100 Camera Manual Appears

Samsung NX1100 Camera Manual AppearsYou know what they say, the old must go before the new can come. The thing is, when it comes to the fickle world of consumer electronics, a particular device need not even be out in the market for a single year, before it is deemed as old, or worse still, obsolete, with a new model waiting in the wings to roll out and be the all new flagship. Having said that, Samsung’s NX1000 is barely a year old, before a new follow up to the mirrorless camera is ready and waiting to be released. Apparently, manuals for the Samsung NX1100 has already appeared on Samsung’s site, which obviously has also confirmed the camera’s aesthetics will revealing more information on it.

From what we can tell, the Samsung NX1100 will come with a 20.3-megapixel sensor, an ISO 12,800 sensitivity limit, a 3-inch LCD display and to keep up with the rest of the Joneses, 802.11n Wi-Fi connectivity. Hopefully the manual is not just there as a placeholder, and we do hope that the real deal will follow shortly afterwards. [Manual Page ]

Samsung posts NX1100 camera manual prematurely, shows a subtle upgrade

Samsung posts NX1100 camera manual, hints at a subtle upgrade

Samsung must not be very attached to the NX1000: the mirrorless camera isn’t even a year old, and its creator is already rushing to post details of the follow-up. Manuals for the NX1100 have surfaced on the company’s site that confirm the camera’s look while revealing details. And… it’s no great shakes, at least from what Samsung has disclosed. There’s still a 20.3-megapixel sensor, an ISO 12,800 sensitivity limit, a 3-inch LCD and 802.11n WiFi. Software also looks similar on the surface. As long as the manuals aren’t just placeholders, then, the improvements are likely tougher to quantify. We just hope that official documentation means a short wait.
