Onkyo just started accepting orders of their tulip-shaped Bluetooth speaker “WS-TP” today. They will start shipping it on July 26.

It’s a Bluetooth/NFC compatible speaker so that you can play music in your smartphone or tablet wirelessly and control the speaker by using the smartphone or tablet as a remote control.

Speakers are hidden under the exterior material colored in a bright color called Strawberry Red. It’s too pretty and simple to recognize this product is actually a high-quality speaker.

Onkyo is going to release a speaker system “GX-70HD2″ with new 11w＋11W amplifier in early August. It has 10cm OMF cone woofer and 2cm balanced dome tweeter built-in.

2 colors (black or white) are available. The price is ¥15,800.

Onkyo’s late to the iPhone 5 party with the CS-255 Lightning dock, but considering the company’s history of quality we’ll forgive it. It may be hard to justify that tardiness given the CS-255’s $299 price tag — somewhere between mid-range and super fancy — given its lacking power compared to similarly priced docks. But hey, it plays CDs too! It’s also worth considering that, for that much money, you could get one of the company’s own home theater receivers offering much more power and flexibility. Of course, should you be interested and not an iPhone 5 owner, the CS-255 is also compatible with … well, anything with a USB input. It comes bundled with two 15-watt speakers and hits stores this August.

ONKYO has released Bluetooth receiver “WR-BT2AD”. You can set it on your dock speaker and wirelessly play music saved in a Bluetooth compliant smart device.

For example, iPhone 5 has a lightning connector and you are no longer able to set it to a dock speaker that has the Apple 30-pin type dock connecter. However, by setting Bluetooth receiver “WR-BT2AD” to the dock speaker, you can play music from your iPhone 5 wirelessly.

It is capable of memorizing the pairing information of 4 different smart devices, making it very easy to switch between devices that you want to connect to your dock speaker.
