In the past we have seen Apple patents which seems to suggest that Apple could be toying with the idea of removable camera lenses on its iPhone, where it would be possible for users to swap lenses much like they would on a digital camera.
Now thanks to a recently discovered patent, it would seem like Apple has spent quite a bit of time thinking about such a setup. According to the latest patent, it talks about how the iPhone could sport a bayonet mount in which various lenses could be mounted. In fact the bayonet lens mount is one of the more commonly used mechanisms in modern photography, so it would not necessarily be a reinvention of the wheel. (more…)

One of the great features of the Microsoft Touch and Type covers for their Surface tablets is that they’re pretty thin and don’t really add much weight or bulk to the entire tablet. In fact the Touch covers are just a little bit thicker compared to Apple’s own Smart Covers, so imagine if Apple were to introduce such a product to their lineup, wouldn’t that be a good idea?
Well perhaps Apple will or maybe they won’t, but at the very least thanks to an Apple patent, it seems that the Cupertino company has at one point or the other explored the possibility. The USPTO has smiled on Apple yet again, where this time around, they have granted Apple a patent for transparent texting. What is transparent texting all about?
