Sony has made it official that “late tonight” (Feb 3 2014) the Playstation 4 will receive the 1.60 firmware update which will bring support for the Pulse and Pulse Elite Edition wireless headsets in the form of proper 7.1 virtual surround sound. This will use the Pulse headsets to their fullest with games and multimedia content designed for that particular experience. (more…)

Earlier, we showed you a way to use an actual DualShock 4 controller with your jailbroken iOS device. While these are only DualShock 2 controllers, they will plug directly into your smartphone. Unfortunately, that’s where the similarity ends.
These teensy inch-wide PlayStation 2 DualShock 2 controllers are simply designed as decoration for your mobile device, but they are pretty cute and quite detailed. It’s too bad they’re not functional. Though if anyone out there can manage to hack one so it works, I wouldn’t be surprised.
They’re being made by Japan’s Union Creative, and are available for pre-order in sets of six from NCSX for about $27(USD). Buy a set, and share them with five of your closest friends.
Yesterday we picked up on complaints from numerous PlayStation 4 owners who found that their saved game files were automatically being corrupted by Sony’s next generation console. Now this is something that can be very infuriating for gamers who have spent hours in a game progressing and locking down achievements and what not. Gamers have complained about lost progress and in some instances, even unplayable games. This mysterious error, PlayStation 4 error CE-34878-0, is being investigated by Sony. (more…)
