Sony missed out on PS4 and PS Vita versions of Titanfall

We all know that the game Titanfall is an exclusive for the Xbox and PC. You can’t get the game on any Sony consoles now and may not ever be … Continue reading

Sony Originally Pitched The Idea Of Titanfall For The PS Vita

Sony Originally Pitched The Idea Of Titanfall For The PS VitaTitanfall is currently an exclusive to the Xbox platform as well as for the PC, meaning that if you wanted to play the game on other consoles like Nintendo or Sony’s platform, you’d be out of luck and you’d probably be better off waiting for the sequel which apparently will make its way onto more platforms.

However in the meantime it seems that at one point in time, Sony was actually pushing Respawn Entertainment for a PS Vita version of the game, but safe to say that never materialized, but why?

The story goes like this: Respawn had initially approached Sony before they signed an exclusive deal with Microsoft but since Sony wasn’t willing to divulge the specs of the PlayStation 4 at that time, Respawn did not know what to work with. However Sony did offer up the suggestion for a PS Vita version of the game and even offered to help make it.

It is unclear as to why Respawn turned down Sony’s offer to bring the game onto the PS Vita. Perhaps it was because they felt that the PS Vita was not powerful enough, at least not as powerful as they would have liked in order to maintain the experience of the game. As we can see in the final results, the game is beautiful and even the Xbox 360 proved to be a pretty good port, thanks to the folks at BluePoint Games who did an excellent job of porting it.

It’s also hard to imagine playing a game like Titanfall on a smaller display like the PS Vita, versus a larger screen like a television. While it’s not impossible, since we’ve seen FPS games make its way onto platforms like mobile devices, it probably just would not have been the same, but what do you guys think? Would you like to have seen a PS Vita version of Titalfall?

In the meantime if you’d like to learn more about some of what went on behind the scenes of the development of the game, you’ll want to check out Titanfall’s Final Hours app for the details.

God Of War Collection Arriving For The PS Vita

God Of War Collection Arriving For The PS VitaThe God of War franchise has been pretty much a staple when it comes to games exclusive to Sony’s PlayStation platform, a franchise which we’re sure made many gamers take out their wallets and purses to purchase a PlayStation console or a PS Vita handheld console just for the game specifically (much like how Titanfall helped boost Xbox One sales).

That being said, the good news for PS Vita gamers is that Sony has recently announced that the God of War Collection will be making its way onto the PS Vita in the coming weeks and will be available for purchase starting on the 6th of May. For those unfamiliar with the God of War Collection, this bundle will include the original God of War and God of War II.

The God of War Collection will also be priced at $29.99 which is also the same price as the bundle meant for the PlayStation 3. If you have completed either game but would like to relive some of the more classic moments on the game on your PS Vita, then this is a title you’ll want to keep an eye out for, so mark your calendars for the 6th of May if you want to get your hands on it!

PS Vita Pets: Puppy Parlour To Tide You Over

PS Vita Pets: Puppy Parlour To Tide You OverIt can get pretty tough playing the waiting game, and with PS Vita Pets that is set to be released later this June, you might not want to wait that long. In order to help tide you over in the mean time, the good people behind PS Vita Pets have introduced a new mobile app that is called PS Vita Pets: Puppy Parlour.

In PS Vita Pets: Puppy Parlour, folks will be able to gain a chance in getting to know the puppies ahead of time, before the game’s full release, all the while experiencing one of the core aspects of the game. I guess you can more or less call this a preview of sorts, where players get to run their very own puppy pampering parlour.

Every single day will see a new dog arrive into your parlour, where you are then tasked with meeting their specific needs via a range of activities, including bringing that puppy out for a walk, to shower your pup, feed it, and play some fetch or obedience games. I suppose spending all that time on a virtual dog is fine, but for those who own actual dogs, make sure you do not neglect to do the same for your real life four legged furry kids! The Android version of Puppy Parlour is already available, while those who rock on to the iOS platform will have to wait until next week. [Press Release]

4J Studios Teases Minecraft For PS4, PS VitaTo say that Minecraft is hugely popular would be a major understatement, especially when it has already seeped into our everyday popular culture. PS Vita Pets Arriving June 3rd

PS Vita Pets Arriving June 3rdHaving a video game that simulates that of an actual pet is not a new idea at all, where the Tamagotchi craze did kick things off many, many years ago. I clearly remember that the Nintendo DS did have Nintendogs that seemingly remained on top of the sales charts for the longest time (there were many different “breeds”, or variations, to choose from), and since we are now in 2014, it is about time a modern day handheld console received another pet sim title. The PS Vita will be on the receiving end of PS Vita Pets this coming June 3rd, and it looks set not to be any ordinary pet game.
