Late last month we mentioned that a Sony software manager overseas had tipped that The Last of Us would be heading to the PS4 game console this summer. At the time, we had no other proof that the game was in the works for the new console. That has now changed.

Today a banner turned up on the Sony Entertainment Network online store for The Last of Us Remastered for the PS4. The banner lists a price of $59.99 and says that you can pre-order the game now. Sadly, when you click that banner it gives to a page not found error.

That means one of two things. Either the banner is broken or someone went live with the banner before it was supposed to. Considering the banner has been up since early this morning and is still there as of this writing, it’s probably just broken.

As April 14th draws closer, it would also signal the official launch of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on the Sony PS4 platform. Well, before that particular day happens, Square Enix has rolled out Beta Phase 2 for the game, which happens to be an open beta to all PS4 owners who play between now until 1AM PT on Monday, April 7th. Phase 2 would see the use of live game servers, where you will be able to join up with the other PC and PS3 gamers, making use of existing characters in the Beta so that there is a sense of continuity.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Beta Phase 2 Launched original content from Ubergizmo.

Sometimes when a company sends out a survey, it can be pretty interesting as it gives us an insight as to what sort of ideas a company might have or where it could be headed in the future. Well thanks to a recent survey Sony has sent to PlayStation 4 owners (via VGXNetwork), it seems that we have been given a small insight into some of the features Sony could be considering for the PS4.

While the survey is in no way confirming that these are features Sony will be bringing to the table, at the very least we know that Sony could be considering some of them and that the results of the survey could be used as a gauge to measure interest. (more…)
