Price hikes are never appreciated. It doesn’t matter if its commodities or electronic gadgets, customers would rather not pay a higher price. However sometimes circumstances make it inevitable to put the price hike off from any longer. Customers in Canada who waited to purchase a PS4 on the assumption that its price would go down with time are in for a rude awakening. Sony has confirmed that the PS4 price in Canada is being hiked. The new price is already in effect.

Software sales might be in decline for February 2014, where new game sales fell by 9% year-over-year to $318 million, but hardware sales have swooped in to help save the day. In fact, the release of the new PS4 and Xbox One consoles continued the momentum in the right direction, where the gap between the two competing consoles have also narrowed by quite a considerable margin. Since Microsoft did announce that it sold 258,000 Xbox Ones last month, PS4 sales figures should be a wee bit more than that. Could swing gamers affect the sales figures differently this month?
