Capcoms Resident Evil Becomes Haunted House At Universal Orlando

Resident Evil 7 Will Return To Its Survival Horror Roots

Resident Evil 7 Will Return To Its Survival Horror RootsBack in 2012, Capcom announced Resident Evil 6 and while the game was anticipated by many due to the popularity of the Resident Evil franchise, reviews of the game were somewhat mixed and some were wondering if Capcom would be able to do better with Resident Evil 7. While that remains to be seen, Capcom has acknowledged that they did drop the ball somewhat with the game and agreed with some critics that the game felt a bit too “bloated” as the developer had tried to put too much content in the game, which isn’t a bad thing, but we guess it did not turn out the way they had expected.

Speaking to MCV, former Capcom marketing boss Michael Pattison was quoted as saying, “With Resident Evil 6 specifically, we probably put too much content in there, there were comments from consumers that said it felt bloated. The Leon missions went down very well, and because we did Resident Evil Revelations on 3DS, there was a cry out for us to focus our attention on survival horror, rather than be too many things to all people. You’ll find where we go next will likely be more targeted at our core fanbase.” Sounds good if you ask us, but unfortunately there is still no date on when Resident Evil 7 will be released or announced, but hopefully they will be able to deliver what they promise.

Resident Evil: Revelations demo tips multi-platform push

Capcom has announced that Resident Evil: Revelations will be available as a demo to all platforms sometime soon. It wasn’t able to release an exact date, however, it should be coming out before the game launches for the PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii U come May 21st (May 24th in Europe). The demo will be available for download through the platforms’ online shops.

Resident Evil Revelations demo will come to both PC and consoles

Resident Evil: Revelations was originally released on the Nintendo 3DS, and it has been the first Resident Evil game in quite some time that has generated mostly positive reviews from critics and gamers alike. The game adopts the same gameplay style as Resident Evil 4/5, however, it also includes classic aspects of the Resident Evil series, such as puzzles. It also brings back the horror aspect to the game, which seemed non-existent in the recent Resident Evil releases.

The game has done so well on the Nintendo 3DS, with retail sites like Amazon having a 5/5 star user rating for the game, that Capcom decided it needed to capitalize on its success. It announced back in January that it would be porting the game to all of the current-gen consoles as well as the PC. It would improve the graphics, add a trophy system, implement a co-op mode for the main campaign, and more.

With the demo, gamers will be able to test out the game before they purchase it, which is what many gamers would have loved to do with Resident Evil 6 before they spent their money on it. Currently, the demo is speculated to be held-up due to the certification process it needs for each platform, but as soon as that’s done you’ll be on your way to navigating through the horrors of the Queen Zenobia.

Resident Evil Creator’s “Zwei” Is The Game Bethesda Has Been Teasing

Resident Evil Creators Zwei Is The Game Bethesda Has Been TeasingOver the past couple of days, Bethesda has released several teaser videos for an upcoming game. While many had initially thought it was Fallout 4, this was denied by Bethesda’s Pete Hines, which led some to speculate that it could be Wolfenstein. However it turns out that it is not Wolfenstein either and according to the folks at IGN, the game Bethesda is set to reveal is none other than Zwei. For those wondering why that name sounds familiar, it’s because back in April of 2012, Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami announced that his studio, Tango Gameworks was working on the game.

The title of the game is still unknown as Zwei is the codename assigned to the game. Mikami described the game as a survival-horror, or “pure” survival-horror whatever that means, and it is expected to push the limits of fear and exhilaration. Additional details of the game is expected to be announced later today, so check back with us then for the details!

Resident Evil 6 and Left 4 Dead 2 cross over headed to Steam

Valve and Capcom got together to discuss the upcoming release of Resident Evil 6 for the PC come March 22nd. While they were getting into their excitement and discussions over the game, they had the brilliant idea of creating a Resident Evil 6/Left 4 Dead 2 crossover. The cross over would help revitalize Left 4 Dead 2, and it would bring some very interesting features to Resident Evil’s game play.

Resident Evil 6 and Left 4 Dead 2 cross over headed to Steam

In Resident Evil 6, players will be able to use the Left 4 Dead 2 characters, Coach, Ellis, Nick, or Rochelle, in RE6′s The Mercenaries No Mercy mode. The characters will have their own set of abilities and weapons that Capcom believes lives true to their stories and nature. Not only will the main characters in L4D2 make it to RE6, the villains will make their way there too. The Witch, and Mini Tank will be joining the ranks of the infected. The DLC will be available beginning April 5th.

In Left 4 Dead 2, while you won’t be able to play as any of the Resident Evil 6 characters (without mods anyways), you will be able to fight some of their villains. The monsters, Lepotitsa, Napad, and Ogroman, will be making their way to L4D2 to terrorize you and your friends, alongside the other special enemies like the Witch, Tank, and Boomer. Valve says the DLC will be available in the “Spring”.

Both of the DLCs will be available at no extra cost to the gamers. This crossover is a gift to Valve’s undead enthusiasts and will possibly increase sales for both Left 4 Dead 2 and Resident Evil 6. These new DLCs are a PC exclusive, meaning those of you who have Left 4 Dead 2 on the Xbox 360, and Resident Evil 6 on the PS3/Xbox 360 are out of luck.

Resident Evil 6, Left 4 Dead 2 Crossing Over In Free Update This Spring

There aren’t many games that could make you jump while playing them, even if you’re playing during the middle of the day. Two games that could do this are Capcom’s Resident Evil series and Valve’s Left 4 Dead series. That’s why today’s news of both games crossing over makes complete sense. Sort of.

Resident Evil 6 PC players will be in for a special treat this spring as they’ll be able to play as the survivors from Left 4 Dead 2 in the game’s The Mercenaries No Mercy mode. Those won’t be the only characters from L4D2 to cross over to RE6 as the infected’s Witch and Mini Tank will also be adding their strength to the hordes of infected you’ll need to battle through. Resident Evil Revelations Headed For PS3 This May 21

re3 revelations Resident Evil Revelations Headed For PS3 This May 21Are you a huge fan of the survival horror genre when it comes to video games? If you have answered in the affirmative, then you would definitely be pleased to know that Resident Evil Revelations is headed for the PS3 this coming May 21st. Resident Evil Revelations is said to offer an experience which will be different from other titles in the same series, where it will be a throwback to the classic “survival-horror” style gameplay, and some who are the faint of heart might want to give it a pass. After all, you will spend a chunk of your gaming time exploring dark, creepy areas with little ammunition on hand, relying on your wits alone sometimes, to protect yourself from the horrors that are waiting to pounce on you. Play it at night with all the lights turned off for added effect.

Resident Evil Revelations will focus on Jill Valentine and her partner Parker as they work on tracking down Chris Redfield and his new partner Jessica Sherawat. Apart from the core campaign and co-op RAID mode, there will also be new character costumes as well as new playable characters and features to RAID mode. A more insane level of difficulty known as “Infernal Mode” will also be available just in case you want to challenge yourself. Resident Evil Revelations will arrive in North America this May 21st on a retail disc or as a day-one digital download on PSN for $49.99 a pop.
