The glitches were down to a cloud save failure, […]

One of the most highly anticipated games of this year was without a doubt Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto 5. The game raked in a billion dollars in record time and continues to sell like hot cakes. Rockstar still hasn’t said when GTA 5 for PC is going to be released, but according to new rumors, it is likely that the release might take place in early 2014.
GTA 5 is currently only available for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. “Multiple industry sources” reveal to Eurogamer that GTA 5 for PC is going to be released in the first quarter of 2014. The release plan is said to mirror that of GTA 4, which was first released for both of the aforementioned consoles back in 2008 and was followed by the PC version after nearly eight months. Over the past few weeks rumors about the possibility of GTA 5 for PC have consistently floated around, Rockstar is as tight-lipped as ever, offering no indication whatsoever if a PC version of its popular new game is in the pipeline. Rockstar says that it does not have “anything to share about the possibility of a next-gen or a PC platform release at this time.” An online petition has already been started, urging Rockstar to release GTA 5 for PC. As of now, the petition has amassed over 600,000 signatures, so its not like there won’t be any demand for the game when its ultimately released for the PC.

When the much awaited GTA Online update was launched for Rockstar’s GTA 5, it did come with its set of problems which is common during the start. Some of the issues had to do with logging in, but now according to reports, there are claims where players have lost their characters, progress, items, and in-game cash. Rockstar has since acknowledged that this is one of the issues that they are working on to resolve, stating that, “We have received reports from some players who experienced losing characters, progress, items, and/or in-game cash during the first few days after release […] We are working diligently to identify and correct the causes for these losses, as well as to establish how best to restore any lost progress and value.”
Rockstar has recently rolled out a patch meant to address some of the issues that were experienced by both Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers, but we guess this was one of the problems that has yet to be fixed. As usual there’s really no telling how long it will take for Rockstar to come up with a solution to fix this particular problem, but safe to say it looks like GTA Online players can expect their experience to not be optimal, at least for the foreseeable future. In the meantime any of our readers who have played the game experience the problem mentioned above where their characters and progress have been lost?
