GTA Online Launch Updates

GTA Online Launch UpdatesWhile life does not always end up smooth sailing, it is nice to hear that Rockstar’s has been working hard to address any kind of issues which surround GTA Online so that gamers will not end up with a sour taste in their mouths. In fact, Rockstar Games have claimed that they are currently working on a title update for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 editions in order to sort out commonly reported issues that seem to have plagued GTA Online, and in their own words, “We hope to have it out for download as soon as tomorrow.” I am quite sure that the gamers too, would be keeping their fingers crossed for it to arrive within the next 24 hours.

Just what kind of glitches or technical issues did gamers experience with GTA Online? Well, for folks who are rocking to the PS3, a PlayStation Network server issue was detected which limited the amount of possible concurrent users, which in turn would prevent majority of the players from being able to access GTA Online, but thankfully that issue has already been resolved. Others mentioned of some players being prevented from getting through the first tutorial mission, regardless of whether they are rocking to the PS3 or the Xbox 360. Repeated retries have proved to be the solution for many, but rest assured, Rockstar Games are working on unblocking this for all within the shortest time possible.

Grand Theft Auto Online issues update as soon as tomorrow

As the Grand Theft Auto Online universe continues its less-than-perfect launch week, the folks at Rockstar Games have issued a note that suggests a full-on software update will be brought on as early as tomorrow. This update will bring about a host of fixes for the game for issues that have popped up over the […]

Grand Theft Auto Online cash packs frozen as Rockstar battles servers

Rockstar has disabled Grand Theft Auto Online currency purchases and massaged the PlayStation Network servers so as to bring the GTA5 multiplayer environment back online, but the cloud-based missions still struggle to hold up to the eager gamers. “For the time being and until we have been able to get everybody access to GTA Online […]

Grand Theft Auto Online downtime drags as Rockstar firefights

Grand Theft Auto Online continues to struggle under the weight of eager GTA5 gamers hoping to play online, with the 16-player virtual arena still struggling to defeat network errors, glitchy graphics, and freezing races. The online component to Grand Theft Auto 5 launched earlier today, and immediately encountered problems despite developers Rockstar bringing on extra […]

Grand Theft Auto Online is down for many, not just you

Here on launch day for the Grand Theft Auto V (or GTA 5, whichever you prefer) online edition, it would appear that the suggestions of a server meltdown of sorts were not entirely unfounded. What’s being seen across the grid – throughout the United States, at least – is the inability to launch online at […]

    GTA Online Launches Today

Rockstar has announced that the update that sends GTA Online will be available today. In fact, the update should available right now with Rockstar having said this morning that the update was expected to be available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation gamers by 7 AM Eastern Time.

Once you have a copy of the game, you can download a small online update and then get access to the GTA Online world. The world of GTA Online is set a few months prior to the events that happened in GTA 5. The online world you see now isn’t all players will have access to, with Rockstar planning significant enhnancements in the future.

Sometime this fall Rockstar plans to launch a Content Creator tool that will allow players to set up custom Race and Deathmatch Jobs. The online game also offers an extensive character creation system that lets players fine-tune every aspect of the character from looks to personality.

You can find more details of GTA Online over on Rockstar’s website, or if you already own the game, you should be able to dive right in by now. And if you have any issues accessing the game, check out this page for status updates.

    GTA Online Is Now Live

GTA Online Is Now LiveLast we heard Rockstar’s latest game, Grand Theft Auto 5, will be getting a DLC update in the form of Grand Theft Auto Online, and that the update will be arriving on the 1st of October and sure enough it has. The update has started to make its way onto consoles and will be available for download via Sony’s PlayStation Network and Microsoft’s Xbox Live, with the update coming in at 59MB. GTA Online will allow GTA gamers to come together in the GTA world, which we guess could be thought of as an MMO of sorts, and making it a first for Rockstar, at least as far as the Grand Theft Auto franchise is concerned.

According to Rockstar, it is expected that the first few weeks of the update’s release could be spent by the developers tuning the game in order to make the experience a good one for you. What this means is that gamers can expect to find bugs and glitches within the game, which is expected from brand new launches, so don’t be put off if you find any, but rather just report it to Rockstar who will look into it and issue an update for it eventually. GTA Online will allow up to 16 gamers to play together simultaneously and allow them to participate in missions together, or simply get together and tear it up. More information on the update can be found on Rockstar’s blog, but in the meantime keep your eyes peeled for the update on your console!

Grand Theft Auto Online update arrives, brings multiplayer to Los Santos

    Image

If you’re already looking for a more worthy Grand Theft Auto 5 adversary than a computer can generate, here’s the dirt: you can now play it online. Whether your battleground of choice is PlayStation Network or Xbox Live, only a “small title update” should be required to get online. Of course, that is assuming the game’s servers can handle the load. With over 16.5 million copies already in circulation Day 1 connectivity could land somewhere near the Sim City end of the scale, and Rockstar’s Social Club backend has already experienced some strain loading up pictures and stats from the single player edition. Assuming everything goes to plan however, players should be creating their avatars, forming online crime syndicates and visiting each other’s houses.

The Content Creator tool that will let players design their own heists is one of the features scheduled to launch later this fall, for more details on what is available right away, check out this blog post. Access appears to be open on both PlayStation Network and Xbox Live, although we’re already seeing reports of connection issues and “Rockstar cloud servers are not available right now” on both sides.
